Bucky - You Deserve Better Than Him Part 2

~Loki's POV~

"Please just let me..." Thor punches Steve in the face as it begins to pour down rain. I scoff and roll my eyes.

"Why would we let you ever talk to her again?" Thor roared. "You promised us both that you would protect her and NEVER hurt her! You have failed gravely at both! You were my friend! I thought I could trust you with the heart of my little sister!" If I had it my way, the fool would be dead. As thunder and lightning filled the sky outside I could tell my brother's rage only growing. We all hear her scream and look outside as it begins to down pour. As I turn to Rogers I scoff as a tear rolls down his cheek.

"What do you have to cry about? You have your little charlatan." I spit through my teeth.

"I did care for her..." He dares to say such things? Someone who cares for another at all, in any point in time, doesn't treat someone this way. Odin was busy with Thor and, let's face it, Frigga was busy with me. I took it upon myself to care for her when no one else would. I made sure she understood her worth. But then I see a rage fill the captain's eyes . As he looks out the window I laugh as Barnes comforts her. "When did they...?"

"Become close?" I walk up to Thor ready to teleport us to them. "When you started neglecting her." Placing my hand on Thor's shoulder I teleport to them. As we walk towards her I get a look from Barnes. Immediately understanding, I stop Thor.

"Brother what..."

"We are not who she needs right now." I watch as Barnes consoles our sister and I sigh. "She's embarrassed... sad..."

"All the more reason we should be over there!" Thor roars and I clench. Why was he like this?

"Thor just trust me. When she needs us she will come to us." I tell him and barely a second later she is running to us still crying, but not nearly as hard.

"C-Can we go?" I look and see Barnes smiling at her. It was a sad smile but I can tell he cares for her deeply. In fact, I know it.

"Alright." She hugs me as I take Thor and Barnes's shoulders and teleport us back to the compound.

~Your POV~

A few months have went by and Steve had kept trying to talk to me. Thor, Bucky, and Loki have not been allowing him near me which I'm grateful for. I have nothing left to say to him. He still disappears to SHEILD every chance he gets so he clearly isn't that sorry. Thor though has been overbearing. I know my brothers would happily rip Steve's head off but at least Loki just gives him death flares. Thor full on lunges at him until I block him while Bucky blocks Steve from me. And that's the other thing, Steve and Bucky are best friends and they have not spoken a single word to each other in months. I can't help but feel guilty for that.

"Your mind is depressing today." Loki commented as I rolled my eyes.

"Then don't poke around in it." I didn't mean to snap at him, I am just frustrated. Loki has been there for me no matter what. He even took the blame half the time for the tricks I would play on Father as a child. I sigh defeated. "Sorry.." I mumble as I go back to playing with my food.

"It's alright sad one." He teased me.

"Sad one?"

"That's what I am choosing to call you now since you have done nothing lately but mope and feel guilty that your precious Barnes and the captain aren't on speaking terms." I look up at him and he hasn't even looked up from his book.

"He's not mine." I see a smug look on his face but I don't have to press further as I hear yelling. I sigh and stand up.

"There, see? They are speaking now." Loki states.

"This isn't much better."

~Bucky's POV~

"What the hell are you talking about?!" I scream back at Steve.

"How long have you been in love with MY girlfriend?!" Steve shouted back.

"Last time I checked, she isn't your girlfriend anymore Punk." I cross my arms and stare Steve down.

"Oh that's all you gotta say?" Steve was raging and acting out. Y/N doesn't want to talk to him and he was trying to enter the kitchen to talk to her and this all started because I wouldn't let him. "All this 'you deserve better than him' crap. You were trying to steal her from me from the beginning!"

"Don't turn your arrogant choice into something it's not! I told her the truth after a month of you neglecting your relationship to do what? Another woman?! The Steve I knew was scrawny but he still would land a few punches to assholes and bullies like that!" Steve punched my jaw. I was about to swing back when the most delicate touch stopped my fist and another turned my face to meet her gaze as she checked where I was just hit.

"I don't want you two to fight." She mumbled. She bowed her head, not looking at either of us as she continued. "You two are best friends. Steve made a terrible choice, to which he made more than once. You came to pick up the pieces and helped him to keep me around him until the end. I still don't want to talk to Steve but I won't be the reason you two fight either." She gave my hand a squeeze and walked away.

"Y/N please just listen to me!" Steve shouted and she froze. Not turning around.

"What?" I have never heard her when she was angry but she does sound like Loki. Her stance is similar to Thor's, as if she was preparing to strike.

"Sharon was a choice. You're right. She was not worth losing you. I made this choice because I wanted to have a couple moments to not be captain America... I should have never..."

"But you still leave to fuck her." I just stared as she turned around. My gaze slowly turned to Steve to see him clench his fists. "You made this choice not because you wanted a break from being the good guy. I believe you when you said you care for me but you no longer love me. You just aren't ready to admit that to yourself yet because I'm your safe choice. I deserve more than that, than this. So enjoy Sharon. I really do hope you're happy." She then teleported away as I didn't look away from Steve.

"She's right... isn't she...?" I ask him.

"Yes... she was also right about me not ready to admit it..." Steve mumbled. "God... I messed up... there was a better way to do this..."

"Damn right there was!" I shout. "Sharon is no better! If you two wanted to be together you really should have broke it off with Y/N instead of this crap! Why hurt her like this?!"

"I don't know..." Steve hangs his head down low and I sigh irritated.

"Ya know... you did a really shitty thing Steve. Keep your distance until she has picked up all the pieces of her heart. And no more accusing her of being with me. She never cheated on you. She didn't stoop to your level." I start to head towards her room when Steve's voice stops me.

"You love her though... don't you?" Steve asked. There was no anger in his voice.

"More than I would care to admit."

"Then stay by her side. I see how she lights up when you come into a room. She may not be ready for a while but... where I caused her pain you caused her happiness." I didn't face Steve and just went straight to her room and knocked lightly on the door. I only received sniffles as a response and knocked again.

"Doll? It's me... I just wanted to come check on you." I was met with silence until...

~Your POV~

I pulled Bucky into my room and shut the door. I didn't want to face him just yet. I felt a sense of relief in all honesty, the cheating didn't hurt as bad anymore and that's thanks to Bucky, Loki, and Thor. I shook my head and faced Bucky with a smile.

"Thank you for coming to check on me." I didn't realize I was still holding Bucky's hand and I went to let go but he squeezed it instead. I let out a small chuckle. "I'm really fine. It sucks that I wasn't enough for him but..." I was being pulled into Bucky's chest and he hugged me almost in a possessive and protective manner.

"You are more than enough Y/N. Steve just couldn't handle all of your greatness."
