Loki - A Heartbreaking Love - Angst/Fluff/Smut

"I could have done it Father! For you! For all of us!" Odin shakes his head no and Loki was about to let go when a familiar voice pleads with him, shattering his heart.

"Loki please!" She made eye contact with him and she knew before he was going to do it. "Loki don't... I love you... please don't leave me... leave us..." She reached out her hand towards him.

"I'm sorry my love." Her scream was piercing as she watched him fall. She gripped her stomach as she sobbed. Once Thor was up he pulled her close. She started hitting his chest just out of pure hurt and Thor let her. The three were close since they were children, Thor and her had become good friends ever since Loki and her began to date, and now Thor was all she had or so he thought.

"Thor... I... I can't do this... alone..." She sobbed out. Thor looked at her confused.

"Do what Lady Y/N?"

"I'm pregnant..."

2 years have gone by and Y/N was in the gardens playing with her son, Armund. She had heard Loki was alive and on his way back with Thor. She was severely heart broken but her son was the most important being in her life. He looked so much like his father already.

"Mama!" The two year old cried out as he ran to her. Y/N smiled, being pulled from her thoughts, and bent down so the child could run into her arms. "Look!" He cried out as he pointed towards his uncle and... his father. Loki stared wide eyed as tears streamed down her cheeks.

"No cry Mama!" Armund then hugged tightly to his mother and glared at his uncle. "You made her cry! Say sorry!" Thor chuckled as the two brothers walked towards her. By instinct, she held her son closer to her.

"I am sorry to drop in like this Sister. But I figured you two have some catching up to do." Thor held out his arms and Y/N kissed Armund's head.

"Why don't you show Uncle Thor some of your magic that Queen Grandma has shown you?" The boys eyes lit up and he practically jumped into his uncle's arms. He started talking to Thor who just chuckled as he walked off. Loki's eyes never left the boy. He had so many questions and he slowly turned his gaze to Y/N. Tears still streaming down her face. His heart broke at the sight of her.

"I thought... I searched for..." her words just wouldn't come out in full sentences. Her sobs stopping them.

"Darling I..."

"You left me... you left us..." She gestures to their son. Loki's heart shattered more. She just confirmed that the boy truly was his. He thought about how she gave birth alone, how she has been raising him alone, and not to mention the pain she went through giving birth to a half frost giant child. "Loki I...."

"I'm sorry." Loki's voice was broken and defeated. He believed he could have her back, that she would forgive him for being gone so long. But to Loki, he saw no way that Y/N and his son could forgive him. "I... that's not enough... I just... I don't know what else to say and...." Y/N captured Loki's lips with hers in a desperate attempt to feel him again. To fill that hole that had only been growing in her heart due to his absence. The kiss broke with a big,

"EEEEEEWWWWW!" From Armund. Y/N chuckled as she felt her son trying to push her away from Loki. Y/N lifted the squirming boy up and kissed his cheek.

"Armund honey, Daddy came home to us. This is your father." She then turned to Loki. "Loki this is your son Armund." Armund looked at Loki in awe. He had heard so many amazing stories about his father from his uncle and his mother. The little boy then began to cry and reached out to Loki.

"Daddy!!!!!" Loki quickly took him and sat in the grass cradling his son. Sobs escaped Loki as well. Y/N sat in front of them and then spotted Thor who had a sorrowful look on his face. Y/N then knew what was to happen next as Odin approached them.
