Stucky - Lonely Part 1 - Angst

"Aren't you supposed to be getting ready for date night with your boys?" Nat asked. Y/n kept punching the training dummy.

"They canceled... again... it's now been a month..." Y/n then broke the dummy. "Oops."

"Well I don't know about you but I don't want to see you this worked up again. Since they have been canceling for the past couple of weeks then maybe we can have a girls weekend. Go to one of Tony's spa resorts." Nat suggested. "If there was ever a girl who needs to feel appreciated and pampered it's you."

"You know what... yeah. I'm in."

— 3 Days Later —

"You're packing already?" Nat asked in a curious tone.

"I'm just so excited to be spending time with you." Y/n smiles. Nat's face drops a little.

"You said they have been canceling date night for the past month... how are you feeling with all this? Have you talked to them?" Y/n smiled sadly at Nat.

"Remember how I was in the red room? Always training or taking missions..." Nat's eyes widened and Y/n shrugged her shoulders. "It started feeling like that but when you asked to hang out.." Nat hugged Y/n.

"It will be fun. There are a couple clubs there, I will invite Wanda and Yelena too and make it a girls weekend." Y/n seemed so excited by that and Nat left the room to find Y/N's so called boyfriends.

Bucky and Steve were cuddled up, enjoying each other's company before they went on separate missions again. Nat walked into the scene and the normally well mannered assassin was slowly losing her cool. Y/n has been so happy with the boys for 3 years except for this past month. Yet here they are not even giving Y/n a second thought.

"Where's Y/n?" Nat asked like she didn't know the answer.

"I'm not sure... haven't seen her in a while." Bucky said suddenly concerned. He got up, Steve shortly following suit. "Maybe she's in our room?"

"Please... she hasn't slept there in a couple weeks." Nat rolled her eyes. The boys looked at each other and panic started to rise in their throats.

"Nat what do you mean?" Steve asked. Bucky quickly took his boyfriend's shaking hand.

"You cancel your date nights for a whole month and don't notice that she's not even sleeping in the same room?!" Nat now was done with these two idiots. "She's been taking mission after mission and training non stop! To not wake you two she's been sleeping in her old room! That's it... I'm taking her to the resort early. Someone should at least appreciate her!"

"W-What? Resort?" Bucky was shocked by the assassins outburst.

"Yup. I can tell she's lonely. She even said that she was resorting back to her coping mechanisms from the red room. I already know you guys cancelled on her again. I saw the board, you took another mission and neither of you thought of including your girlfriend who you claim to love!" Nat shouted.

"WE DO LOVE HER!" Steve roared.

"You have a funny way of showing it. She's happy and excited for the first time in a month. Don't ruin it for her." Nat glared at the two boys. "FRIDAY tell Y/n her and I are leaving tonight."

"Will do Miss Romanoff."

"Doll?" Bucky called as he entered their shared room with Steve. He was hoping with every fiber in his being that Nat was wrong but she wasn't. Steve nervously lead Bucky to their girlfriend's old room, already putting on a strong face. Steve opened the door to find Y/n humming as she was packing and deciding which dresses to take. The room looked lived in by her unlike their shared room.

"Princess?" She jumped up and quickly turned to her boyfriends. Clearly startled by their presence. She sighed relieved and smiled at them. She quickly ran into their arms. She hugged them tight.

"Hey Stevie! Hey Bucky!" She gave them both a kiss on the cheek. "Are you guys ok? You look upset... did I do something?"

"No Doll but I think we did something..." Bucky started. Y/n looked at them confused.

"What do you mean? Did you boys get hurt?!" Y/n began to panic and quickly started checking Steve's face for injuries before she did the same to Bucky's. Bucky couldn't help but chuckle a little.

"No Princess... we've seemed to have pushed you away." Steve says. Still not understanding Y/n looks between the boys.

"What do you mean? I'm right here. I'm always... " She started getting scared. Were they going to dump her? Were they tired of her? Did they regret this relationship? Tears pooled in her eyes as she turned away from the boys to hide it. "Unless y-you want to push me away...."

"No Doll no... we don't want that!" Bucky pulled her to him and began feathering her face with kisses. "We are trying to apologize we haven't spent time with you to the point you felt that you needed to move back here..."

"Which you should never ever feel that way Princess... ever... we should have never made you feel that way." Steve kissed her temple and she began to tremble a little.

"W-W-When did you guys notice I wasn't in your room anymore?" She whimpered out.

"Doll it's your room too..." Bucky stated. His heart ached when she wiggled out of his arms. All emotion had left her face as she stared back them.

"Answer my question." They both hung their heads. Y/n then threw everything else into her bag and stormed past them.

"Princess wait..." Steve grabbed her wrist but she didn't turn towards the boys. "You have every right to be upset with us... we should have noticed the day you moved out but we didn't. Both Bucky and I are really sorry and we want to make it up to you."

"Doll please stay and talk... we really are sorry and we really do want to fix this." Bucky said. Y/n sighed yet she didn't move. Her back still facing them she replied to them with the most heart broken voice.

"There's a lot I need to think about. Stay safe on your missions." And with that, she left for her girls trip.
