Summary: Loki and Y/N have been best friends for over a thousand years and have always had feelings for each other. Neither of them have ever told previous partners about what they truly desire because both believed it to never be able to come true. What happens when they confess?

"Hey Y/N!" Valkyrie called out as she ran up to me. "Are you really ok with me setting Loki up last night? Val knew instantly about my feelings for Loki. I am pretty sure it was obvious to anyone but him. But i played the part well and I would never admit out loud to anyone.

"Why would I care about who that man whore goes out with?" You responded.

"Oooo harsh words Darling." I scoffed at Loki's surprise appearance.

"Ok what is your deal. Sigyn is a very nice girl... well for you." I chuckle as I continue to walk forward.

"Sigyn? You set him up with Sigyn?" I then burst into laughter as the two followed me.

"Ok do you know about this... he totally botched the date. She said they were at his place and she was walking around and started looking through his books..." I turn around wide eyed.

"She went through his books?" Val nodded at my question.

"And when she pulled one out..."

"Oh no..." I gasp out. Out of the corner of my eye I see Loki smiling at me and I can feel the heat radiating off of my cheeks.

"Wait... you know about the book thing?!"

"Oh yeaaah. Loki doesn't like anyone to touch his books." Val stared blankly at me and I heard Loki chuckle.

"I HAVE SEEN YOU READ HIS BOOKS!" Val shouted.

"Guess I'm special." I shrugged as I opened the door to my home. "Now if you two don't mind, I want to drink and read a book myself. Have a good night."

- Loki's POV-

"She's special huh?" Valkyrie stared at me with an all knowing smirk.

"We have been friends since children. You are her new friend. I would advise to be careful." I just stared at her door. Valkyrie scoffed and walked off. I didn't move. I saw her blush when she looked at me. I have longed for her for as long as I can remember. But I never would have believed that she would feel the same. Especially after everything I have put her through.

"Loki? Are you ok?" I snap out of it and see her staring up at me with those beautiful (e/c) eyes of hers and cannot help but smile.

"Yes Darling, I'm alright." I clear my throat and harden my face a bit as she giggles at me.

"Ok then why are you staring so intently at my door?" Y/N asks me cheekily.

"Right um... I was actually about to ask if you would like company for your reading and drinking tonight." She looked at me wide eyed as if she was shocked that I wanted to spend time with her and then she smiled.

"No plans tonight I take it?"

"Not after that whole book fiasco." Y/N giggled as I rolled my eyes.

"Your place or mine Mischief?"
