Loki - My One and Only - Angst/Fluff/Smut

A/N: This is a really long one but I am in love with how it turned out! I hope you guys all enjoy and I am very grateful to all my readers!

-Loki's POV-

Everything is greater than I ever imagined it could be. After Sigyn broke up with me before I tried to ruin Thor's coronation and after I tried to take over Midgard, I never imagined I would be here in the gardens with the most amazing woman. Y/N, the Goddess of Nature and my best friend, convinced Odin that she would stay by my side and when she wasn't, Mother was and this was way better than the dungeons. For a while, I was skeptical of Y/N, even though she is my best friend I had done many things as of late to betray her. Disappearing for 2 years, trying to take over another realm, saying harsh things to her, but none of that swayed her. She has stayed by my side regardless of it and here I am, in Mother's garden, reading with her under the willow tree we used to play under as children and I am falling deeply for her. Today I have decided to tell her since it seems that she feels the same way.

"Loki? Y-Your staring at me..." I smile, seeing the light pink begin to form on her cheeks. I then kiss one of her warm cheeks before I answer.

"Your beauty can be distracting." I chuckle as her face turns a light red. She buries her head into her book. I can't help but turn her face back up to me. "Oh the great sorceress and Goddess of Nature has a definite spell cast upon me. Y/N would you want to be my one and only?" She is searching my eyes for any lie but her smile that I have grown to crave shows me that she feels the same. She is so precious and dear to me that I can't help but kiss her. As she kisses back and wraps her arms around my neck, I can't help but thank the Norns for bringing her into my life.

That was almost a year ago. Since then she has been by my side as my one and only. When the prison break happened Y/N almost died saving Jane and my mother. When the battle was over and I was told she was alive I gave up any plans to take the throne and rushed to her side. I scolded her for being so reckless but she just smiled at me, telling me she had to protect what was important to Asgard's safety but more importantly what was important to my heart. She has always been this way, putting others before herself. Since that day we had moved in together, any missions we go on are together, Thor denied the throne, Odin had begun to include me in court meetings, Y/N became the leader of the sorcerers and sorceresses of the royal guard, and everything I have ever wanted out of life was finally falling into place. Mother had even given me her ring to use to ask Y/N to be my betrothed.

"Lokes?" A familiar voice called out to me. "Lokes is that really you?" I reluctantly turned around to face Sigyn.

"Yes it is Lady Sigyn, don't play games. We were just in a court meeting together regarding the ball that is to take place soon. What is it that I can do for you?"

"Really? Formalities Lokes? I was your girlfriend for over 100 years." Sigyn smiles her fake sweet smile at me and that makes me cringe.

"Key word there Lady Sigyn, was." I turn to continue to head to Y/N. She clearly wants something and I'm unwilling to give it to her. But Sigyn runs in front of me and places a hand on my chest to stop me.

"Come on. I see the boring girl you're with now. I know you miss me." She said seductively as she leaned in to kiss me. For a second, a mere second, I was frozen but then I went to push her away as I heard running foot steps. Probably a guard who was called to a new station.

"Sigyn I may have missed you a year ago but don't you dare talk about Y/N that way. She is my heart, the most beautiful girl, no, the most beautiful woman in all the Nine Realms. She has never once left my side and she is to be my betrothed. You will not speak to me again unless it is for matters of the court, which you may be apart of now but I will see to it that you are not if you continue this way. We both know you care about your status and reputation more than anything. So I suggest you stay clear from me." She sighed annoyed but agreed reluctantly. When I see Sigyn I feel nothing towards her. No malice, no hate, no love. I then turn away to find Y/N. I was already running late to dinner with her.
