It's not the first time that Jennie will stand inside the court as a prosecutor but she can't help get nervous. She's been a prosecutor for 5 damn years. She saw and met different types of criminal but this case will surely be tough for her.

"Goodluck to us." Irene said with a heavy sigh.

Just like what she feels, Irene is also nervous. Both of them were professionals in this field but the defendant is no joke. It has a big backers behind him.

"It's the first time he got caught, right?" Jennie asks even though she know the answer, just to converse with Irene.

"Yeah. The police finally got the chance to corner him. Even though he's more related to dr-gs, they can't find any evidence about it so they just use this." referring to the reason why they were in court today.

They entered the court room and sat on their table while fixing everything. She was constantly looking at the table in front of them, far away from where they were going to sit.

"Loosen up, Jen. We're the prosecutors, not the defendant." Irene chuckled.

As time flies, the courtroom started to get filled with people. The case isn't that known as the prosecution choose to keep it lowkey.

The defendant finally arrive with it's defendant's attorney and Jennie's breath hitched after the defendant look at her with it's cold dark orbs.

This isn't the first time they met. They already saw each other on the preliminary hearing and arraignment but none of them last long not like the trial so Jennie isn't that nervous before.

As the trial went on, different witness and evidence was presented on court before there's a 30 minutes break.

Jennie turn to look at the defendant and the side of his lips instantly shot up after seeing her looking at him.

She gaze back at Irene who's discussing some hole with their evidence.

"We cannot let this witness' testimony present. This is all guess. It's a big insult to our prosecution if we let this slide." Jennie said after reading one of their witnesses' testimony.

"Yeah, I know. Trina must've been trying to shame us for giving this fucking witness. She thinks she's all great after finding this so-called-witness first." Irene agreed and throw one of the paper.

"Yeah, that woman is getting on my nerves day by day." she rolled her eyes in irritation.

Jennie almost approached the defendant if Irene didn't stopped her.

"Jennie, we're not allowed to talk to the defendant privately. It's against the rule." Irene reminded her.

"I really need to talk to him. I'm not going to force him to admit his crime." she said.

Irene shook her head. "No, it's still against the rules."

As the two of them were having a small argument. A guy went to them and it instantly scares the two of them.

"You want to talk to me?" then he grinned.
