After how many days, I feel like a newborn. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nararamdaman ko. I feel like I'm a new person. I can't remember much about the things I did in the past. Right after Ilaria told me I died, wala na akong masyadong naalala.
Ang huling memorya ko lang ay ang pag-alis namin sa mansion ng mga Vozenilek na may bakas na dugo sa aming damit.
"Hey!", I didn't realize I spaced out again.
Nilingon ko si Ilaria na papalapit sa akin at hinawakan ang aking kamay.
"You okay?", she asked. Smiling.
Tumango ako. "I'm okay. How are you?", I know it's a bit difficult for her too.
Ng malaman ng ama niya ang nangyari sa amin doon sa mansion ay pinipit siyang pauwiin sa Bulgaria. The Originals and our family almost had a bad blood. Pero nagpaliwanag naman si Ilaria na kung hindi siya nagpupumilit na pumasok doon ay hindi sana iyon mangyayari.
She owned it all. Syempre hindi ako pumayag. In partly at fault too. Dahil hindi ko siya naprotektahan.
"I'm fine. Father called me from time to time to check. But I assured him we're safe", aniya. She heave a sigh. "I'm sorry about my father. He really just cares for me. Muntik pang madamay ang pamilya mo. Ang lahat".
Mabilis ko siyang niyakap. "Hey! It's fine. I understand your father. Kung sa anak din natin mangyayari iyon ay magagalit din naman ako", I laugh. "Gusto mong magka anak na tayo?", I teased her.
Ngumuso siya at mabilis na namula ang kanyang pisngi.
"Not now. Tsaka na pag nagka anak na si Claudette", aniya at tumawa.
"Ang tagal pa nun", reklamo ko.
Tinampal niya ang braso ko. "Basta bawal pa. Tsaka na yan", inirapan niya ako. "Bakit? Ayaw mong tayong dalawa muna?".
I smirks at her. "I want that too, baby. Nakakainggit lang kasi na may baby na sila", I hug her from the back. "I want to come to Bulgaria".
I felt her froze for a moment. "W-What?", she asked as her eyes widened in fraction.
"I want to go to Bulgaria and ask you father for your hand in marriage", sabi ko.
"Are you serious?", she asked. Hindi pa naka recover sa gulat.
"I'm serious. Really, really serious, baby", sabi ko.
Tears pooled in her eyes. "Y-You really are serious? Y-You wanna marry me?", she can't really believe what she hears from me a while ago.
I nodded my head twice. "Yes. I want to marry you. You're the only woman who make me feel this way. I want you to be mine. I want you to be the mother of my children. I want you to be my Queen. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Ilaria Lorenzittee", sabi ko sabay pakita ng singsing. I kneel in front of her as the sun hits the diamond ring at kumislap ito gaya ng pagkislap ng kanyang mga mata dahil sa luha at tuwa.
This ring is different from my mother's. Ito ay binili ko talaga para ibigay sa kanya.
"Yes, Thindrel. Of course, I'll marry you!", she jump for joy and hug me tight.
Tumawa ako at niyakap din siya. I inserted the ring to her finger and smile.
"I love you, baby. I'm so in love with you and I want to stay that way", mabilis ko siyang hinalikan sa noo.
I felt her smile. "I love you too, baby. You alone", aniya at niyakap muli ako.
The sky turn to orange. It's a golden hour. Nasa ilog kami. Masyadong perpekto ang settings ng pag proposed ko sa kanya.
"So kailan tayo pupunta sa Bulgaria? Do I need to inform father na pupunta tayo or it is a surprise?", I asked.
"I want him to know. Dahil hindi naman tayo pupunta doon para bumisita or magbakasyon. We'll go there to inform your family for our marriage", sabi ko.
"Okay. I'll call father later", ngumiti siya. "Do we need to bring everyone?", she asked again.
"My parents, perhaps?", I raised an eyebrow.
"Okay. How about your uncles?", she asked.
"Tsaka na sa kasal natin", sabi ko. "Ipasyal mo ako doon".
She frowns. "Hindi ako pwedeng lumabas ng bahay", sabi niya.
"You won't be alone. Kasama mo naman ako", I smile at her. "Besides, I'll bring death dealers with us", sabi ko.
"Do you know that lots of tribes are after us Originals?", she look so serious.
"I know. And I have no intention for that thing to happen again. I'm here to protect you", sabi ko.
"Okay. The Lorenzittee's property is so vast. We don't need to mix with mortals", aniya.
"That's good. I like that", sabi ko at niyakap siya. "We could stay like this forever".
"We will. Hindi natin makakaligtaan ito", she caress my cheek and smile. "This. And everything we do, dapat mananatili ito. That's what my parents told me. Kahit na gaano nakatagal. The sweetness, love and care for each other should stay".
I don't know how to react. What I know is I found the treasure. I found the one I've been looking for all my life. Life is better. It's better this way.
I know there will be dark days coming but this day is better. Better than the past and the best will come in the future.
Niyakap ko siya. I kiss her on the lips as she close her eyes slowly.
"My life is better with you, baby".
