Firetail was running around the outskirts of town, looking for Gluzze in alleyways. He didn't know it, but he was slowly but surely getting close to her location. Eventually, he heard soft crying and looked down the alley he had heard it from. "Gluzze?" He called.
Gluzze immediately jumped back into all fours. "Stay back." She growled. "Hey, I'm not here to hurt you." He said. "I found out that they put trackers in us. That's how they found us." He said, cutting straight to the point.
"What do you mean?" Gluzze growled. "They cyberneticlly altered you and I, and while doing that they added trackers in us. Trackers we we need to find a way to remove." Firetail explained.
Damien walked into the alley with them. "Hey, this is my alley. Go find your own." He growled at the two, folding his wings and rubbing his wrists where the cuffs had been.
Gluzze turned around and growled back at him. Firetail quickly stepped in front of her. "Oh, I'm sorry. We've just been though an incident and don't know where to go." He explained.
Damien went over to a wall and sat down. "Alright, you can stay. Just be quiet please. I just got away from some crazy-ass place and I need some peace and quiet to think straight." He said. Firetail took a step back. "Hey, um, crazy ass place, that wouldn't happen to involve being locked in a cell and having tests run on you or a weird vibe around powers would it?" He asked.
"Uhh yeah, how'd you know? You're not with them are you?!?" Damien replied, jumping up. "No, no, we escaped as well. But we have a problem. Apparently there are some trackers in us." Fire said, picking up a sharp piece of the metal on the floor. "You think you could possibly give us a hand?" He asked.
"Sure, why not." Damien shrugged, waking over. Gluzze backed up. "Uou think imma trust him enough to not just slit my throat?" She scoffed. Fire spoke. "Then keep the tracker in you and let them capture you again," he said, "imma get mine out."
Damien looked at Gluzze. "I don't mind, I don't feel emotion or anything, really. And she has every right to not trust me because I'm just some stranger in an alleyway." He said, taking the sharp metal from Firetail.
Fire laid on the ground, grabbing a piece of wood. He pulled a corner of his shirt up. "I have a feeling it would be in this area and might look like a small disc with a light on it." He said, tapping a spot below the middle of his spinal column. He then put the piece of wood in his mouth to bite on.
Damien inserted the metal into his back where Fire had indicated. Fire let out a whimper of pain as he dug deeper into his back. Suddenly he hit metal. "I think I found something." He said. Gluzze looked uneasy watching the ordeal.
Fire let out a muffled scream as tears started to run down his face. Damien stuck his hand inside the wound and pulled out the device before destroying it. He blew a short breath of fire on the metal before cauterizing the wound.
Fire stood. "Son of a bitch." He muttered, rubbing his back. Damien looked at Gluzze. "Do you want yours out or not?" He questioned. Gluzze was silent for a moment. "...Yes." She muttered quietly. "Where did they do the most surgery on you?" Firetail asked.
"My left arm, specifically the lower part above my panel." Gluzze replied, showing an exact spot on her arm. "Welp, sit back and let him look at the area. And you might not want this, but it will be worth it." Fire said, handing her the wood he had come close to snapping.
Gluzze took it, sitting against the wall and putting her arm on her knee, lowering her body temperature to help with the pain. Damien inserted the metal into her arm, slicing the skin open. Gluzze let out a short screech of pain as he grazed a bone, which looked to be made of metal.
"Sorry." Damien said as he continued to poke around. A flickering light could be seen a bit above where Damien had cut, as tears started to form in Gluzze's eyes, practically biting through the wood. Damien repeated the process of grabbing the device, destroying it, and sealing the wound.
Gluzze pulled the wood out of her mouth and let out a scream as the hot metal burned her skin. "Thank you." Firetail said to Damien. "No problem." The dutchie replied.  "Hey, I don't know how you feel about this, but would you want to try and stick together? It's harder to overpower three creatures rather than one." Firetail put fourth to the both of them.
All the sudden Gluzze got a blank expression on her face. "I'm an idiot." She said, curling into a ball and hitting herself in the headz "Sure thing-" Damien replied to Firetail before grabbing Gluzze's hands, stopping her. "What are you doing?" He asked.
Tears started to form in her eyes. "I'm an idiot, she wasn't lying." She said as she started to cry and slam her head into the back of the wall. "She could still be here if I had just...."  Firetail quickly tried grabbing her head to stop her. "Gluzze calm down, you were confused and didn't understand." He tried to calm her down, but it didn't work. "I should've listened, I'm useless." Gluzze said.
"You're not useless." Damien said. "I've failed Galaxy and now I've failed Star." She cried, trying to break free of their grasps. "I'm useless, nothing but useless." She cried as the black spots on her fur started to spread violently.
"Hey, you didn't fail anyone, we can just go back and save her somehow." Damien paused.  "Just kill me!" Gluzze screeched as the black on her fur spread even more, like a living creature. "Gluzze please calm down, we will get Star back, you didn't fail her." Firetail said.
Damien sighed. "What would it take to stop her from doing this?" He asked.  "I'm not sure, I've only seen her like this once and and I've only known her for like 3 hours. Star was the one that calmed her down." Fire replied.
"Maybe a good knockout punch would work?" Damien offered. "It might be the best option." Fire agreed. Gluzze was to distracted to hear this. Damien punched Gluzze across the face. "Okay, what now?" He asked, seeing as she was out cold.
Fire shook his head. "What the hell happened to her..." he muttered. "Probably some messed up shit." Damien replied. "Yeah. And I still have no idea who that 'Galaxy' person is." Firetail said. Damien nodded. "Seems like something happened between them."
"Hey, what all did they do to you at the lab?" Firetail asked Damien. "Nothing, that crazy green bastard just came into my cell and asked if I have powers, which I don't, then this lady helped me escape." Damien said.
"Oh, so you were only recently kidnapped... you got lucky." Fire replied. Damien scoffed. "That's a first, my luck's been shitty ever since I woke up in the hospital with no memory of my past." He said.
"Hey at least they didn't tear you apart with nothing but barebones painkillers, when you're lucky. Just for this." He said, sparking a flame at the tip of his tail.
"Hey, now you have a neat little party trick." Damien said. "So that's what it's called now." Firetail said, voice heavy with sarcasm. Damien nodded. "Yep," he said, getting up an stretching, "I think there's an abandoned building about three blocks from here, we could go there so that we can at least have a roof over our heads." He suggested.
"Better than this alley." Firetail replied, walking over to Gluzze and tried to pick her up. "Oh. Can you give me a bit of a hand? It's like she's nothing but metal." He said. "Sure," Damien said, coming over to help lift Gluzze up.
"We just head straight, make a right, straight again then a left, walk some more and we're there. Should take about 10 minutes." Damien said, starting to walk, Fire following, attempting to keep most of Gluzze's weight for the dragon could focus.
Once they made it to the house, Damien found that the door was locked. So instead Firetail got in through a broken window and unlocked the door. They put Gluzze in a corner on top of some old sheets and found respective places to sleep.
