Star held the main door to the bunker open, and waited until Az was out before following the others to the van. She shoved the pup into Echo's arms as he landed on the ground and jumped in the back. He was confused, looking down, then back up at Gluzze.
Blacklight got into the van and laid Gluzze in the back seat. "Where's the nearest hospital?" She asked frantically, starting up the van. Echo hopped in after them, observing what was going on. He had been their lookout. He hadn't seen Nova or Frost come out and assumed they were being left behind, or dead. "There's one a few blocks away." He said, looking down at the pup again. He wrapped his arms around them instinctively for the time being, knowing it wasn't time to worry about them but about Gluzze. "What happened?" He asked sharply.
"Gluzze went crazy with abyss and then quickly got sick." Star said Blacklight she took off. Gluzze's breathing started to get a bit unsteady. Echo looked back at her. "It was probably way too much for her body how it is. Hell, it barley was when she was full- grown." He hissed, stressed. "I don't think my pure light will help at this point."
Blacklight just kept driving, she was scared Gluzze would die. Although she could come back, she would do anything to save the dragon. "Someone get the hospital on the phone and have people waiting at the doors." She said, thinking quickly. Star took her phone and started explaining a bit of the situation- editing out what they were doing and where. When they got to the hospital, Echo handed Gluzze back up to Blacklight. Az was staying unusually quiet, looking tense.
Blacklight took her and started to rush to the doors. Gluzze's breathing was slowly getting more and more unsteady. Echo handed the pup back to Star and followed Blacklight. Blacklight rushed in and met a doctor that was waiting for them and handed them Gluzze. The others stayed in the car.
After a minute Gluzze had stopped breathing and lost a pulse. The doctors immediately started to operate on her but it didn't take long for her to turn to ash, then a egg.
"So..." Star said after a minute, breaking the silence awkwardly. "What?" Azreal asked blankly. "Uh... what do I do with her?" Star asked, holding up the pup. "I don't care, keep her." He shrugged. "I can't keep her, what if she gets her memories back?" She asked. Azreal looked at her for a second. "I don't think she will. That's a DAD thing." He replied.
"Why don't you take her? You seem like a... maybe not responsible, but you are certainly and adult." Star retorted. "Nah. I don't like kids. Especially ones that killed my brother." He said, glancing down.
After a few minutes of silence, Blacklight walked back out carrying Gluzze's egg. Echo bit his lip. "Damn. They couldn't save her." He muttered. "You alright?" He asked Blacklight. He knew she was probably exhausted by now, mentally and physically.
Star sighed and turned back around, closing her eyes.
"I'm fine, just why can't anything go right." Blacklight muttered to him. "It's not your fault. We did our best to get her here." He said softly. "Yeah, but I still feel like I could have done more." She said as they got to the van. He shook his head and got in, leaning his head against the window as they started off.
"So, what happened?" Trippze asked. "Abyss got to her." Blacklight replied as she set the egg in the back and drove off, she was starting to feel a bit sick, mostly due to strain put on her body recently. Echo closed his eyes wearily, avoiding conversation. Az glanced back and held the egg protectively, not trusting the curves to keep it steady.
Star looked over to her. "Soooo.... about Phoenix...." she finally used her name. Trippze looked over and sighed, then looked at Star. "I say we torture her." He immediately put fourth. "Let's just keep her for now and see what happens." Blacklight said. Star nodded. "You can't torture a puppy. We don't even know if she can keep her memories anyways." She pointed out. "I've done worse for less." Trippze shrugged.
"Yeah, but you're also, like, four days old." Star said. Trippze shrugged. "No matter what I'm suggesting torture." He said. Star gave up on the conversation and sat back, closing her eyes.

...

Once they where back to the house, Star went up to her room, taking Phoenix up with her, not trusting Trippze farther than she could throw him. Well, actually, she could probably throw him pretty far. But nonetheless, she didn't want to test her luck.
Azreal poked Echo until he woke up. He handed him Gluzze's egg and they both lingered in the living room, not quite tired and still anxious. Az wanted to go check on Firetail to see if he was alright now that Phoenix was "dead." He went downstairs, knocking on the cell door. "Firetail? You still alive?" He asked. "Az? Y-yeah, why am I down here? And where's my tail?" He asked, confused.
"In the freezer~~" Azreal replied to one question cheerfully, glad to see he was back to normal, opening the door. "Why is it in the freezer and why am I tied up??" Fire asked. "You don't remember anything? Let me tell you, you went phsyco on us, bud." Azreal said, coming in and ruffling his hair before undoing his bindings. He seemed upbeat for the situation.
"What, w-why?" Fire asked, concerned. "What all did I do?" "Uhhhhh.... yes." Az replied, turning and walking up the steps. Firetail hesitently came out. "The fuck happened here?" He muttered to himself. Azreal sat down on the couch. "Anyways to answer your question, you strangled a baby, yelled a bunch, fought me like twice, and destroyed one of the cells' doors but that's about it." He said. Trippze looked at Firetail and decided to mess with him. "Yeah, the baby didn't survive, sadly." He said with fake sadness.
Firetail froze. "Oh my God, I-I don't remember any of this, I-Im so sorry." He stuttered. Az thought. "You missed out on all the killing whilst your brain was malfunctioning." He said, attempting to change the subject. "Do you know who this said baby is? Huh...? The babies name in question rhymes with duzzie." Trippze said.
Firetail processed this for a moment. "Oh my God, d-did I kill Gluzze?" He asked, stepping back and noticing Gluzze's egg. "Oh shit, I'm a fucking monster..." He said as she rushed down to the basement. Azreal sighed and followed, slower. "Firetail wait- you didn't kill her, she's okay." He called after him. "'Okay' wouldn't be the word I'd use..." Trippze said.
"But I saw the egg-" Firetail started. "Yeah, but you didn't kill her... We should probably fill you in on what happened." He said, rubbing the back of his neck apprehensively. "Okay okay. So eventually Zelda and Phoenix escaped, and they killed that stranger lady whist they where at it. Oh yeah and I was asleep because Trippze stabbed me- wait Trippze, why'd you inject me with that serum?" He asked, getting off-track pretty quick.
"I was under their control, and they told me that if I injected you with that then you would go back to normal, and not be aiding with the others." Trippze explained. "Okay, thank you. Anyways, what was I saying? Oh yeah. So we get to this weird bunker or whatever, but I'm in a cement room so that was boring. But then they managed to summon Gabriel, which was a pain in the ass later. From what I know these guys showed up, killed everyone, then went back here. Also Phoenix took her name literally, cause she's a baby now too and apparently someone-" He coughed, "Star- decided to take her. And Gluzze died at the bunker basically so that's a bummer." He was obviously horrible at recounting events.
Firetail just stared at Az. "Ok tell it again, but tell the truth this time." He said. "What? Why would I lie?" He said, turning around with a shrug. "Why is everything always fucked up..." Fire muttered. "I dunno, I think it's just this year." Azreal replied, sitting on the couch again and glancing at his nails. "At least there ain't a pandemic." Firetail said. "Pandemic? Why so specific?" Az asked, glancing over. "Reasons." He replied.
He shrugged, getting up and heading to the door. "Be reasonable. Go to sleep at a reasonable time." He said to Trippze, shutting it behind him before anyone could ask questions. "Fine. I think that 1 AM sounds like a reasonable time." Trippze said. Az shrugged and left.
