Mew is sitting alone in the dark, bottles that contained alcohol a few hours back now laying empty at the table in front of him. He brings the bottle in his hand to his mouth once again but frowns when nothing comes out. It was empty. He scoffs. Even the alcohol is not cooperating with him now. What a fucking day!!

Why? Why was it happening to him? he glares down at the bottle.

What did he do to deserve all this? Why did it happen to him? Why did he betray him? Mew thought that he made him happy! Were all those smiles fake too? Were those kind eyes lying to him all this time? These questions, not for the first time that day, run into his mind.

Angry at his fate, angry at that person, angry at everything that happened to him, he flings the empty bottle at the wall across him, shattering it into pieces just like his heart had shattered this evening, on his own wedding day.

The person he was going to getting married to had ran away, leaving him on the altar alone.

Yes, indeed! What a fucking day!

*Few months before the wedding*

Mew drags his feet to the entrance of the hotel he was staying in, his bodyguard, Tamp following in tow. He was tired, very, his eyes almost drooping with the lack of sleep.

He was in Krabi, on a business trip to be precise, but had barely barely seen the sea. A sigh escapes him, at least he finally closed the deal he was working his ass off for all these months. Now, he just wants to soak in a bath, and then go to sleep. He hadn't slept well the last few days, barely catching three hours of sleep, all thanks to some losers working for him, messing up all his hard work in the last week of the final presentation. Thus, resulting in them doing the work of the last three months in only two weeks, all over again. If only he could kill them! Well, he sure can fire them. He wasn't known as ruthless for nothing. He had no use for people who can't even do their work properly. But all that has to wait for later. First, he is going to enjoy relaxing the rest of the days he has free.

Sleeping for three days straight maybe? Doesn't sounds like a bad plan. Hmm...

As he drags his sluggish body towards the elevator, dreaming about all the sleep he is going to catch, his ears catch something, something melodious and sweet. Someone was playing a piano. Now, that he thinks about it, he did see a piano in the lobby of the hotel in the morning.

The tune is so soothing he is almost drawn to it, despite himself. And it feels familiar too, but his tired mind can't seem to point it out. Only when a voice accompanies the melody, it clicks to him. Thousand years. It makes him smile, this was his Grandma's favourite song in her last years, she used to say it reminded her of his Grandpa.

So, he stops his bodyguard from calling the elevator, and leans on the nearest wall, closing his eyes to listen the song. The voice wasn't at all like his Grandma's of course, since it was a guy singing but it leaves him mesmerized. It was soft, soothing, and so sweet.

He doesn't know how long he is standing there listening but his smile drops when the voice stops and the music too. The song had come to an end.

Before his mind could comprehend what was happening, his feet starts to move towards the direction the voice was coming from. Damn! Why didn't he think of this before! He chides himself and runs to the lobby. But when he gets there no one is there, the piano seat is empty.

Mew curses his luck for missing to see the face of the person who just made his day.

"Boss?"

Returning the questioning look of his bodyguard with a shake of head, he is just about to turn to go back when someone comes running from the opposite corridor and jogs to the piano. The guy looks like he is in a hurry as he snatches something which Mew guesses must be his phone and leaves just as he has come, in a hurry. Mew watches him until the guy disappears around the corner before turning around to finally go back to his own room.
