Mew curses as he sees the reporters camping in front of his office building too, blocking the entrance. It's impossible for him and Gulf to walk in from there without repeating the scene from the university.
Which means they would have to take a much private route to his office.
Gulf is bummed at the fact that he can't go through the main entrance as Tamp parks the car exactly in front of his personal elevator in the underground parking lot.
"Stop pouting. You can tour the office building some other time" he chuckles at the pouting boy beside him as they get in the elevator.
"I don't pout" the pout intensifies.
Mew chooses to stay silent at the ridiculousness of that sentence.
He hears Gulf sigh. "It's just that, my first time here is nothing like I had imagined. I had it all planned in my head you know, from what I was going to wear, down to how I was going to enter the building. My whole dream shattered- Don't laugh! You find this funny?" the boy scowls at him when he sees him trying to hide his smile.
But Mew can't help it, his lips pull up in a grin. He isn't laughing because he found it funny, rather it was so cute he wants to squish the hell out of the boy. But Alas! He stuffs his hands in his pockets and tries to control his smile so as to not miff Gulf anymore than he already is.
His office floor is simple, if Gulf is expecting something like a floor-spanning office, with glass walls and other such jazz, as they show in those cliche dramas he is going to be highly disappointed. The elevator door opens to an open space where a desk for his receptionist is situated. She greets them as they walk past her. Mew doesn't fail to notice how her eyes widen when Gulf wais her.
His sweet boy!
He scans his fingerprint and holds the large frosted glass door open for Gulf to enter into the main area. The floor houses his security team's office, a conference room, his COO's office, a break room with a kitchenette, Mild's cabin, a waiting area, and lastly his office to the very end of the corridor. Originally, the CEO's office was on the floor above, where he had the entire floor just for himself with a large floor-spanning office and a workspace for his assistant exactly like they show in those cliched dramas! But he had shifted his office to the current floor.
He didn't want his employees to think that just because he is the CEO and the son of the chairman of the company, he is someone unreachable. There was no need to rub in their faces that he is in a higher position and makes more money than them. As a CEO, that’s not the kind of image that he wants to convey to his team. Instead, he wants to lead by example, showing them that he is one of them, just like them working for the company. He wants them to work with him and not for him.
As they pass by Mild's cabin, which is right next to his office, he can see that Mild's isn't at his seat. Mew knows by now his secretary must be already in the conference room, checking over the last minute preparation for the meeting.
He again holds the large wooden door of his office open and gestures Gulf to enter first. His office is simple but spacious and elegant with dark furniture and light coloured walls. Nothing extravagant. The wall opposite of the door is entirely made up of glass, looking over the whole city. His black frosted glass desk takes up the entire right side of the room and to the left is the lounge area for the visitors. The wall behind his desk can be slid open to a small living space. Before his marriage, he used to spend so much time working in his office, somedays he didn't even go home, so he had the room set up for himself. It consists of a bed, a gym area that he uses whenever he has time (because he hardly has time to use his home gym), a wardrobe, and a small bathroom.
