The next day,

In the evening when Gulf returns from his classes, he halts in the middle of the room looking at the two big boxes sitting near the coffee table. Confused, he looks over them only to see them addressed to him. Did his father send the remaining of his things or what? But, looking closely the handwriting at the boxes doesn't look like his father's so although confused, he cautiously opens one of them only to see it full of...stationery? He blinks and goes to pick a packet of cute looking sticky notes when his eyes catch a note fluttering under it.

He pulls out the card to read:

"Heard Japanese stationery is quite famous around the world!"

Just that. The note isn't signed but there isn't a need to. Gulf doesn't need rocket science to tell Mew is back from his trip. And he had brought him a present!

Something akin to a warmth starts blooming in his chest, slowly taking over his whole body. It's the first time someone got him a gift, apart from his family. Does it mean they are friends now? Friends exchanges gifts with each other right? He never had friends so he isn't sure. Well, P' Mild is his friend now but he is still a novice in this.

Looking inside the large box, it seems it has every kind of stationery there is in the world, from colourful markers, highlighters, pens, pencils, staplers to even different types of calligraphy pens! Moreover, it seems he will never have to visit a store to buy supplies for his studies because all this is enough to last him a lifetime.

Now, he is curious to know what the second box has inside it. Making a quick work of opening the box he comes across a box of...KitKats! The box is full of KitKats! Of different flavours! Green tea, Strawberry cheesecake, Cherry blossom and different other flavours he didn't even know existed.

He knows Japan is famous for it's different flavours of KitKats and always wanted to try it. He had read once that 'Kit Kat' was transliterated into 'Kitto katto' in Japanese, which actually sounds like the Japanese phrase 'kitto katsu' which translates to 'you are surely going to win'. In Japan its particularly popular gifts for students during exams and such to wish them good luck.

Among the mountain of chocolates, an another note catches his attention and he is quick to snatch it up. Opening the card, he once again meets Mew's beautiful cursive handwriting.

"Do you know Japan has 350 varieties of Kitkats?

I didn't know which one you would like so I got a little of top ten must have flavours."

He looks at the plethora of the said chocolates in box and can't help but chuckle. A little? If this is called little then what's this man's definition of 'lot'?

Gulf picks up his phone to let Mew know he got the presents and to thank him. But as he is typing his message it clicks him how insincere it would come off to say it through a text, that he should thank Mew in person for such a thoughtful gesture. Hmm, it's a good idea, he thinks and happily to skips to shower.

After shower when he comes downstairs, from P'Fon he gets to know that Mew had returned from his trip in the afternoon and after getting freshen up he went back to his office. As he sits on the kitchen table talking to P'Fon he gets the idea on how to say thanks to Mew. He decides to cook dinner today himself. He is more a man of action than words anyways.

After pleading to P'Fon who refuses to even let him lift a spoon in the kitchen, he finally gets the kitchen to himself. "Okay time to work!" he nods to himself and start collecting the ingredients he would need.

Gulf is on the living room sofa, almost fallen asleep when he hears the main door open and a moment later Mew walks in. He immediately springs up to his feet, rubbing the sleep off from his eyes. It's quite late, P'Fon had already gone back and he was waiting for Mew to return so they could eat together but had fallen asleep.
