"Baby, you didn't..."
Gulf whirls around at Mew's voice and his smile widens, "Welcome home, Mr. Suppasit. Oh, you have showered already. When did you come home? I didn't even realize!" he exclaims in surprise. He watches as Mew takes in the impromptu candlelight decoration he had done to the dining room and table with wide eyes before his eyes settle on him again. Seems like he has managed to make his husband speechless, he giggles. Mew looks in a daze as he walks towards him and when he pulls him into his arms, Gulf sighs contently, breathing into his scent.
"Tua-eng, all this is so beautiful" Mew murmurs.
"You like it?" He beams at him.
Mew presses a soft kiss on his cheek, "Love it. But what's all this for?"
Gulf can feel his ears getting red as he tries to gather words to answer the question. He hadn't planned all this. It was a sudden thought to surprise Mew like this. When he had gotten off the call with him earlier, he suddenly realized how happy he was, how happy Mew always makes him. Of course, he already knows it and Mew never lets him forget it with his actions and words. But today it was just so..it hit him so hard..the thought that he was truly so happy, the feeling of being loved...it had brought tears to his eyes. Maybe it's because it will be a whole year tomorrow since the day they have come together or maybe simply because Mew is truly the best. He just wanted to thank him to show his appreciation. And also because tomorrow he won't get to do anything special for their anniversary because he knows Mew is planning to take him somewhere. So after the call with Mew, he had made a stop to get the things he needed for the decoration and went for it.
He hides his face in his husband's neck flustered as he mumbles "Just to thank you...for being with me, for giving your one year to me, for being the best husband, for being my Mr. Suppasit." He feels Mew's arms tighten a little bit around him and presses a gentle kiss on his neck where he is hiding.
Mew pulls away from the hug to look at him, "I should be the one thanking you, baby, but here you are...thanking me for giving you my one year, when for half of the year I was absent or busy being a jerk to you. I-Ouchh!"
Gulf rubs Mew's shoulder where he had just pinched him and scowls at him. How many times does he have to tell him to stop talking about the past and stop feeling guilty? Whatever happened was because of the circumstances and hasn't he said enough sorries? "You have got no right to talk bad about my husband. Only I can do it!"
Mew frowns at him, "and you never do it" he accuses.
"Well, it's because there's nothing bad to talk about my husband!" Gulf defends arrogantly.
Mew makes a face at him, "You are so biased about your husband, it's not even funny! He is one lucky person."
"I guess we both are" he replies, pleased but frowns the next second, "But my husband doesn't seem to have a very good opinion about himself, seems like I have a lot to teach him."
Mew raises an eyebrow at him, lips pulling up in an amused smile, "Oh, and how do you plan to teach him that? I have heard he really doesn't listen to anyone."
By now Gulf is trying so hard to control his laughter, and says with as much cheekiness as he can manage, "Well, you see..my husband is a bit crazy about me so I know he will listen to me."
"Crazy about you, huh?"
"Totally" he flicks his non-existent long hair sassily.
Mew bursts into laughter and proceeds to tickle him, "Why are you so naughty, huh? Why?"
"Nooooo!" He laughs, breaking free from his arms but Mew catches him before he can run away and squeezes him to his chest. "You Are So Cute" every word is punctuated with a peck on his lips and he can only giggle through it and is only able to breathe only when Mew stops to stare at him, "Gosh, I love you so much, it's crazy," he says with a smile so wide Gulf feels his heart would burst with happiness and pulls him in a searing kiss, trying to pour his feelings, his love, that he isn't able to say it in words yet, all in it.
