Gulf hands his car key to Tamp and thanks him before climbing into the passenger seat of Mew's car.

"Hi" he greets Mew, who is behind the wheel.

Mew grins, "Hi."

He turns back to look out of the window to see Tamp getting into his car to follow them. A few minutes ago, he had come out of his university only to see Tamp waiting for him beside his car. The bodyguard had informed him that Mew would be driving him today and he had been asked to follow them in Gulf's car.

He turns to look at Mew, curious, "Why are you driving yourself today?"

"Just because," Mew shrugs as he starts the car.

Gulf frowns, "P'Tamp is your bodyguard. Shouldn't he be with you?"

"If you worried about your safety, don't worry. I have no enemies" Mew quips.

"With your personality? Yeah, sure" he snorts.

"Wow, you are so funny!" The man rolls his eyes.

"You started it first" Gulf shrugs and changes the topic, "So, where are we going and why did you tell me to bring my wallet?"

Mew glances at him briefly before focusing back on the road, "Uhh..I am hungry and since I had time today I thought it's a perfect time for me to take you up on your offer."

"My offer?"

"Yes. Last time we went to eat out, I had told you, you can just treat me to dinner next time instead of paying me. What? Did you forget already?"

"Oh, that." Of course, Gulf remembers. He just didn't think it would be today, so suddenly. He isn't surprised though, these days things like this are happening too much to get surprised anymore. For instance, Mew suddenly asking him to accompany him for a walk in their garden after dinner, or the man nagging him to knit a tie for him too, just like he made one for his father-in-law because apparently 'ties are their thing!'. And all of it feels so...natural. Like they have been doing these things since forever. It's scary, to be honest.

He looks at Mew, and it's not the first time he is wondering about the progress in this weird relationship or better to say, friendship. Honestly, he doesn't think he deserves such attention from the man beside him. A man, who even in this forced relationship, is so caring, so genuine in his efforts.

He remembers Mae's words from the earlier days of his and Mew's marriage. "Mew is a good person, Gulf. My son has a bit of a temper but when you will try to understand him, you will see, under all that tough exterior, he has the kindest heart."

Gulf agrees. All these months, he has seen the man's various sides, but the most apparent is his caring, kind heart. He doesn't think any other person would do so much for him the same way Mew does. The way he cares, the way he makes sure his every need is taken care of, the way he doesn't let any discomfort or trouble touch him. For example, the bullying issue.

Suddenly, there is an anti-bullying committee has been formed in their university. A strict investigation is taking place to dig out all the bullying incidents and cases. The Dean himself had announced that whoever will be seen or reported of bullying will have to face serious consequences; a suspension or worse, they will risk losing their placement interviews. No one in their right mind will be crazy enough to risk their placement just to bully someone. So, the last few days had been peaceful in university, not that he bothered with what was going on before.

And it doesn't take rocket science for him to know that it's Mew's doing. Once again making him wonder why Mew is making so much effort in this forced marriage. Not like he doesn't appreciate it, he does, a lot. It's just that he doesn't understand why Mew even bothers to do so much for him? It's not like this is some normal marriage or they have plans to make this marriage work. They don't, right? At least he doesn't.
