Hellooooo!!
I am back....after 250 years.
And Oh my God! You guys are so amazing!! *bawls eyes* I can't believe people are still reading this story. Thank you so much!! For all the love, reads, comments, and messages. You guys are really so sweet!
Okay, here, 250 years later...but I still wrote the epilogue. I wrote this on train, yesterday...and honestly there must be some mistakes (as usual), so apologizing in advance. Also, unexpectedly, this one came out quite long...maybe because I was writing after so long?? So I had to break it into two parts.
If you get bored...forgive me.
Hope you enjoy though. Happy reading!!

Just a few hours more.
Mew closes the file he's been trying to kill time with, reclines his seat, and closes his eyes. It's still a time before his plane lands and there's only so much work he can do on an eight-hour flight. He can watch movies but he is not in the mood. He just wants to be home.
It's been a long, excruciating twenty five days since he has been home, to his real home, his husband, his Gulf. And it would be an understatement of the century to say that he missed him. It's the first time since their hospital stay that they have been apart for so long. What made it worse was that just days before Mew had been scheduled for his trip, his husband had to go on a sudden business trip of his own for a week.
He wouldn't lie and say that he hadn't been annoyed at the news, but he didn't want to complain about Gulf's work (it's as important as his). And since his own trip had been scheduled months ago and couldn't be delayed, he had flown to another country without seeing Gulf. It sucked, but he reminded himself that he is a grown ass man, and a CEO who had been going on work trips since forever without batting an eyelash, so to just suck it up and be done with it. Also, it's not like he would be gone for twenty years, it's just twenty days.
So yeah, it's been almost a month that they haven't seen each other (the video calls don't count. Anything that didn't let him touch Gulf doesn't count.) and he is excited to go home finally.
Mew can't help the smile that blooms on his lips as he sinks into memories of his husband, of the last time they had been together. He had of course gone to see him off to the airport, sulking, but still went, and Gulf who had been aware of his mood, highly amused, had pulled up the car partition, climbed into his lap and kissed the hell out of him. Okay, they had done more than just kiss, and at the airport, if they had emerged from the car with rumpled clothes, kiss swollen lips and Gulf sporting a bright hickey on his collarbone to join with the other littered on his body from the previous night, it was nobody's business. When it was time for Gulf to head inside, Mew had thrown a glare at his father who was responsible for his baby going away from him, placed a last gentle kiss on Gulf's grinning mouth, and then watched as his husband walked away until he disappeared into the crowd. Heart heavy, but proud, so proud.
Watching Gulf as he continues to flourish in his work so admirably indeed fills him with immense pride. He doesn't get to witness his magic all the time, given Gulf works with his father but he can't ever forget Gulf asking him to be present for his first ever meeting that Charong had arranged to introduce him to the board members.
He was very much aware of the fact that the few old geezers who are members of the board had some reservations about his father's decision to involve Gulf in such a big project, throwing around objections like "too young", "inexperienced" and another bunch of stupid reasons. But he wasn't worried, and Gulf had no reason to be nervous either. Mew had seen how meticulously Gulf had prepared for the meeting, and having been witness to his brains and intelligence firsthand too many times, he had known it would be a piece of cake for his baby. But despite all that, it was still nothing short of magical to see, the way his boy had gone from a jumpy kitten to a confident, assured man as they all had walked into the meeting room that day. Mew just had to sit back and watch as his husband charmed the room full of businessmen like it was his everyday routine. The way he had the attention of every single person in the room so effortlessly, the confidence he exuded, the thing he had to say...and not to mention how fucking hot he looked in his three-piece navy blue suit fitting his lithe body so perfectly. It was impossible to take his eyes off of him.
