It's been four days since Gulf woke up, and many things have happened since then.

a) He got to know from Boat what happened to Eva, and how Mew got hurt.

b) Tamp showed up with his promised burger and large fries for him, expressing his relief and gratitude. It was the first time he had seen the big man so emotional.

c) He got free of the tube under his nose and other wires attached to his body.

d) P'Fon and P'Adit came to see him too. P'Fon trying hard not to cry but failing big time.

e) And he got to know the extent his in-laws and friends can go to pamper him. They don't even let him lift a finger.

f) Mew got his sling removed.

Oh, talking about Mew, the man is incorrigible!

Gulf got his answer soon as to what he did wrong. And not in an easy way.

You see, when Mew said he was furious at him, the man wasn't kidding. He hasn't talked to him since that day, not properly anyway. No, he wasn't ignoring him or anything. He was super attentive, and caring, in fact, Gulf got to know the bed beside him was Mew's so that he could stay with him 24/7. Mew is practically his unofficial nurse, helping him with everything as much as he could with one hand injured. Except for talking to him.

Why though?

Because Gulf pushed him out of harm's way and took the bullet himself.

Mew is angry at him for risking his own life to save him. Gulf tried to talk to him, to make him understand but the man is not ready to listen to him at all.

And Gulf is starting to get really tired of his passive aggressiveness now.

It's almost midnight so his hospital room is dark except for the lamps beside his bed. But he can't sleep.

Turning his head, he looks at the bed next to his; Mew's bed, to see the man lying on his side, his back to him.

Gulf knows he is isn't sleeping either, because Mew can never stay asleep on his side. He likes to sleep like a starfish, well unless they are snuggled up together, which at the moment they are not.

"Mr.Suppasit, how long are you planning to stay upset with me?" he finally asks, voice quiet, but loud enough for him to hear. And he knows Mew heard it, by the way his back twitched as if to turn around but deciding not to. His question remains unanswered too.

He turns his head back to continue staring at the ceiling, sighing deeply and immediately grimacing in pain the next second, because the exaggerated movement of his chest muscles hurt. It doesn't hurt as much as the day he woke up but it's still tender. Broken ribs take time to heal, he would know because it's not his first time.

"I understand why you are upset" he begins once again a moment later, "You were scared. I would be too if I was in your place. I understand, really. But nothing happened. I was wearing bullet proof armor. It saved me. I am alive."

So why is Mew hung up on something that didn't happen and worrying himself unnecessarily instead of being grateful that they both were alive and safe? Did the man expect him to watch Eva shoot him and let him die? Is that what he is suggesting he should have done? Does that make any sense?

His frustration turns into annoyance as the silence stretches between them, "I don't see what's the problem here? Why I am being punished? I was wearing the damn armor, it's only logical I took the bullets instead of yo-"

"BUT WHAT IF YOU WEREN'T WEARING THE DAMN ARMOR?" Mew suddenly sits up, turning to glare at him. "What if you weren't, huh? What...What if the goon wasn't wearing one in the first place for you to take it from him. It was pure damn luck! Or what if the bullets hit you someplace else other than your protected chest? What do you think would have happened?" Climbing out of his bed, the man towers over him, "Let me make it clear for you because I don't think you get it!"
