It was finally Friday which meant it was time for Cali's date with Jason. She wasn't really nervous. It wouldn't be the first time the two went out or more importantly hooked up. They were what you would call friends with benefits.
Although it was pretty clear to everyone but Cali that Jason wanted to be more. Cali thought he was attractive but not as attractive as Shane. She wasn't looking for a relationship when she would just be leaving for school in a couple months.
Jade had come over after school to help Cali get ready. She had basically done everything. She picked out Cali's dress. She did her hair and makeup. She even picked out which bra and underwear set Cali should wear.
If it was up to Cali she probably would have just worn jeans and a nice shirt but Jade insisted she should dress up.
"Oh cheer up Cal you look hot." Jade said rolling her eyes at her friend.
Cali sighed. "I just don't get the point in getting all dressed up when my clothes are going to be off the minute I get into his car."
"I don't understand you. It's clear that Jason likes you and wants to be your boyfriend. Why don't you give him a chance?"
"Because he's-" Cali paused trying to find the right words.
"Because he's not Shane?"
"No. I don't know. Maybe?" Cali replied biting her lip.
"Well just go have fun tonight with Jason. Actually try to see him as more than just a friend. You never know maybe you'll see him in a new light."
"Okay. I'll try for you." Cali said with a nervous smile.
Her smile widened when she heard her little brother's footsteps pounding up the stairs coming towards her bedroom. Carl flung the door open holding up a picture he had colored at school.
"Cali look what I made for you today." Carl said excitedly holding the paper out to her. It was a drawing of the two of them at her dad's favorite lake. It was a memory of them from last summer when she taught Carl how to fish.
"I love it. I'm going to hang it up on my wall." She said kissing his cheek. Carl hadn't yet noticed the blonde sitting on his big sister's bed.
Jade sat there watching the exchange with a small smile on her face. Sometimes she wished she had a younger sibling.
"Hey handsome." Jade greeted as Cali taped the picture to her wall.
Carl's eyes widened at the sight of his sister's best friend. Carl had the biggest crush on Jade. His face turned bright red and he bolted out of the room. Jade laughed while Cali rolled her eyes.
"Would you leave him alone you know he has a crush on you."
"Oh come on. I love teasing him. I can't help it he's adorable and has great taste." Jade said motioning to herself. Cali was about to reply before both girls heard the front door close. "Is that your dad?" Jade asked smirking.
"No Jade don't even think about it." Cali yelled as Jade raced out of her room and down the stairs. Cali followed after her best friend.
When she reached the bottom of the stairs she was met with the sight of her flirtatious best friend and uncomfortable dad. Rick was practically screaming help me with his eyes.
"Jade." Cali called slightly glaring at her best friend.
"Yes?" She replied innocently.
Rick cleared his throat nervously. He liked his daughter's friend. He thought she was a nice girl but her blatant flirting made him uncomfortable. "So uh what were you girls doing?"
"Nothing Jade was just leaving. Weren't you Jade?"
Jade rolled her eyes and got up off of the couch. "I'll see you later Sheriff." She said winking as she followed her best friend to the door.
"You just love making the men in my family uncomfortable."
"What can I say it's amusing." Jade laughed.
Cali rolled her eyes but had a smile on her face.
"You know it's not fair." Jade huffed.
"What's not fair?"
"Not only do you have a hot 'uncle' but your dad's hot too. They're both major dilfs."
"Okay one gross and two Shane doesn't have any kids so he's not a dilf." Cali replied.
"He's an honorary dilf."
"Honestly, Jade I don't know where you come up with this stuff."
"Yeah yeah but you love me."
"Yes now go so I can finish getting ready." Cali said pushing the blonde out of the door.
"Okay. Have fun! And don't do anything I wouldn't do." Jade said suggestively.
"Omg go! I'm going to kill you!" Cali yelled blushing. Both girls laughed neither having any idea how true that statement would become in just a few weeks.
