"Mom..." Cali trails off staring up at a fuming Lori.

"Don't!" Is all the woman says bending down and picking up her daughter's discarded clothes. Lori barely glances at Cali as she throws the clothes at. "Get dressed now!"

"Lori, please let me explain." Shane cuts in standing a few feet away from her moving his hands down to cover himself.

"Explain?" She scoffs. "What is there to explain? I just walked in on you having sex with my teenage daughter!"

"She's an adult Lori."

"It doesn't fucking matter!" The woman screams pointing at him. "You've known her since she was born! What the actual fuck is wrong with you?"

"We're in love!" Cali cuts in now dressed. Lori watches as her daughter moves to stand protectively in front of Shane.

"This is not love Cali. You don't even know what love is." Lori cried out exasperatedly. "You're still a child for god sake!"

"I'm not! I'm old enough to make my own decisions and I want to be with Shane."

"Absolutely not!" She denied with a sharp shake of her head. "Did you even think about how your father is going to react to this? He's going to kill you, Shane."

"I'll explain it to him." Cali said determinedly. "Dad always listens to me. He'd want me to be happy."

"Yeah, with someone your own age! Not with his best friend that's he's known his whole life!"

"You can't help who you fall in love with!"

"This isn't love Cali! You've been brainwashed by him!" Lori exclaims gesturing towards Shane.

"Can we please just talk about this?" Shane spoke up looking at Lori while placing a comforting hand on Cali's back.

"No! What's going to happen is I am going to take MY daughter and WE are going eat dinner and then SHE is going to get her stuff and move it back into OUR tent." The Grimes woman explains gripping onto Cali's arm and pulling her towards the tent opening. "And in case you don't know by OUR, I mean Rick and I's tent not yours!"

Shane went to argue but Lori had already gotten Cali out of the tent. He would have to wait until he got clothes on and until there weren't a bunch of people around to talk to her. Shane didn't want the whole camp hearing their argument. He was hoping that they hadn't already heard it.

The brunette begrudgingly let her mom drag her over to the fire pit where the rest of the group was sitting. She didn't say anything as Lori shoved her down into a fold out chair next to Carl.

"Eat!" Lori hissed lowly placing a plate of fish into the teens hands.

Lori sat down on the other side of Cali, trying to calm herself down. She didn't need the whole camp knowing what was going on. All the Grimes woman could do until Rick got back was wait and watch over her children.

"I've got to ask you, man. It's been driving me crazy." Morales spoke up looking at Dale and effectively breaking through the noise of forks clattering off of plates.

"What?"

"That watch." Morales chuckled pointing his fork in Dale's direction.

"What's wrong with my watch?" The older man questioned.

"I see you every day, the same time, winding that thing like a village priest saying mass." Morales replied.

"I've wondered this myself." Jacqui cut in.

Cali was trying her hardest to pay attention to the conversation around her. She needed something to distract her from the murderous glare her mother was sending her way.

"I'm missing the point." Dale shrugged confused.

"Unless I've misread the signs, the world seems to have come to an end." Jacqui answered. "At least hit a speed bump for a good long while."

"But there's you every day winding that stupid watch." Morales shook his head.

As Dale started to go into a long winded talk about time, Shane had finally decided to show his face. As soon as Cali saw him she completely blocked out Dale's speech. The only thing she could focus on in that moment was the look of guilt on Shane's face.

Her worst fear was that he regretted their relationship. She didn't want to think about him ending it because of her parents. Cali loved Shane and she wanted to be with him no matter what.

"You are so weird." Amy said after Dale finished talking. Everyone laughed at her reaction to Dale's rant.

Shane sat down on a log directly across from Lori and Cali. The Grimes woman didn't spare him a glance as she continued to listen to the conversation going on around them.

"It's not me." The man sighed disappointed with the younger generation and their lack of knowledge. "It's Faulkner. William Faulkner."

"No one knows who you're talking about old man." Morales joked gaining a few more laughs from the group.

As the group was calming down Amy suddenly got up from the campfire.

"Where are you going?" Andrea wondered looking up at her younger sister.

"I have to pee." Amy huffed embarrassed about having the whole camp know she had to use the bathroom. "Jeez, you try to be discreet around here..."

"Can I go back to my tent?" Cali asked looking towards her mother.

"No."

"Please mom!"

"No Cali!" Lori snapped harshly whispering. She didn't want anyone else around them hearing their conversation. "You're not going back to Shane's tent. You're going to go to bed when your brother and I go to bed in OUR family tent."

"This is ridiculous." The teen scoffed rolling her eyes.

"What's ridiculous is you thinking that your relationship with a 30 something year old man is okay!"

"I'm an adult now not a child!"

"You're barely an adult Cali." Lori sighed massaging her forehead. She knew Cali wouldn't see what was wrong with their relationship until she was older.

"We're out of toilet paper!" Amy exclaimed coming out of the RV and effectively ending the two females conversation.
