The group was all gathering around the fire to begin making dinner. No body else but Lori seemed to notice that a few people were missing. This peaked her concern in particular because one of those people was her teenage daughter.
"Carl have you seen your sister?" The mother questioned turning away from the fish she was cutting to look at her son.
"Not since you yelled at me." The boy mumbled not turning away from the board game he and Sophia were playing.
Lori sighed knowing that it was going to take Carl some time to forgive her from ruining his fun day with Shane but she couldn't have her kids around him anymore. Not after he lied about something so big.
Knowing she wasn't going to get anymore information out of Carl she walked over to where Amy and Andrea were sitting at the picnic table messing around with the groups radio.
"Have you guys seen Cali recently?" She questioned trying not to sound upset. Lori didn't want to freak anyone out and make them think Cali was missing. Lori knew her daughter she figured she was just be off by herself somewhere not wanting to face her after their argument earlier.
"I think she went to check on Shane after the whole Ed thing." Amy replied smiling at the woman. "They both seemed pretty shaken up after it, especially considering Ed hit Cali."
"Ed hit my daughter?" Lori gasped not knowing what the blonde was talking about. "When did this happen?"
"When we were doing laundry Ed was provoking us and then he got super aggressive with Carol so we all kind of stepped in to protect her." Amy explained glancing at Andrea not knowing if she should tell Lori how Shane bet Ed. "Cali jumped onto him to get him away from Carol and he backhanded her."
"Yeah, it was terrible. He was totally out of control." Andrea chimed in. "If Shane hadn't of stepped in and took Ed down I'm sure he would've done more than just hit Cali."
"I can't believe this." The Grimes woman shook her head looking over to where Ed and Carol's tent sat. "Is everyone okay?"
"Everyone but Ed." Amy shrugged. "Shane bet him pretty good. I thought he was going to kill him for a second when everything was going on."
All Lori could do was stand there stunned as she listened to what happened down by the water. She couldn't believe Ed had the nerve to touch her daughter. Lori knew Rick wasn't going to be happy when he found out.
"Shane did the right thing though. Ed needed to be put in his place." Andrea said looking at Lori. She could tell the older woman wasn't comfortable with the thought of Shane beating a man close to death.
"I'd check Shane's tent. Cali might be in there resting after she got hit." The young blonde smiled going back to her previous task of tuning the radio.
Lori nodded in thanks taking Amy's suggestion. She headed over to the Walsh man's tent that was a bit further away from the rest of the groups.
She didn't forget about her statement to Shane that Cali would no longer be staying with him. Lori wasn't going to go back on her word. She didn't think it was appropriate for the two to be staying together.
The only reason she didn't complain before was because she didn't want to anger Shane and not have him to help protect her and her kids. But she didn't need Shane anymore because her husband was alive. Rick was back.
As much as she knew Rick wouldn't ever suspect Shane of being inappropriate with their daughter, Lori didn't have the same confidence in the man. She saw they way he looked at Cali when he thought no one was paying attention and she didn't like it one bit.
So Lori was going to get her daughter away from Shane before anything could happen between the two.
If only Lori had known that her efforts were useless because Shane already had his claws deep into the teenager. There was no way anyone would be able to separate him and Cali now.
This is a fact that Lori was soon to learn as she approached the couple's tent.
At first Lori could have sworn her ears were playing tricks on her. There was no way she could possibly hear grunts and moans coming from inside the tent. It wasn't possible.
Shane wasn't actually stupid enough to make a move on his best friend's daughter.
It was safe to say that the woman was in denial as she unzipped the tent.
As much as she knew Shane had the hots for her daughter, she didn't completely believe he'd act on them. That's why Lori entered the tent believing that she'd just find her daughter laying in bed sleeping after a stressful day.
Obviously Lori wasn't expecting to walk in on a man she's known for half of her life naked and aggressively thrusting into her equally as naked daughter, but that's the sight she was met with.
Maybe in another circumstance Lori would have found the image of Shane naked and in the act of fucking someone hot but not when that someone was her daughter that said man practically helped raise.
"Oh my god..." She mumbled barely getting the words out.
The couple in front of her clearly had no idea she was there because they just continued to be wrapped up in each other. It wasn't until Lori finally snapped out of her initial shock that she really started to feel anger.
"Oh my fucking god!!" She exclaimed rushing over to the bed and basically ripping Shane off of her daughter.
Cali screamed attempting to cover herself from whoever it was that had just pulled Shane off of her.
"What the fuc-" Shane hissed ready to give whoever interrupted them a piece of his mind but stopped when he realized who the intruder was.
