"Good luck to all of you this night and we will see you in the morning," said Alpha Kade who was standing next to Atlas. I nodded and headed to the car where I joined Xavier, Lorenzo, Delta, Brisa, and Adara. We rode in silence the tension thick with anticipation about twenty minutes later we reached the ski resort area. We took in the scene before us with many wolves patrolling the area and my eyes spotted the two people, I hated the most beating a man tied to a pole in the middle of the plaza. I scented the air and growled lowly as I picked up my brother's scent.

"That's Heath in the middle with Cleste and Alpha Jared," I said trying hard to reign in my sudden rage.

"Get the warriors down from the cabin this is where the fight begins," said Xavier snapped at Lorenzo whose eyes were glazed as he made the orders. And then we waited, and it wasn't long before an alarm sounded, and wolves exploded into the plaza taking out nearby warriors. A few dark hunters made their appearance soon after one heading towards Celeste and my dad and that's when it clicked. That's the asshole who is controlling them! I snarled and was shaking as Aspen I were completely enraged.

"All elementals to me we attack together, that hunter there is the one controlling Celeste and Jared. We get rid of him and leave Jared to me I could care less what happens to the other," I snapped at them and shifted quickly my clothes shredding. I let out the most anger and hate filled warning howl that caught the dark hunter's attention as we ran down the hill to join the battle.

"Stupid wolves you will never win this battle," the hunter laughed as he pulled a silver dagger that glimmered with gems.

Aurora, we need to see if those gems are fake or not, said Delta urgently as he ran to my left.

It's not calling to me so it's not a real one, he said astonished, he exclaimed a moment later.

Delta, let it rain, I smiled mischievously as I let out a growl.

I felt the others growl in agreement and felt the coolness of water wash over me before making its way to its target the blue sapphire. I couldn't tell what the hunter was trying to do but watched with satisfaction as the blue gem shattered and startled the hunter who stared at the knife in disbelief.

"What?! These are not the real gems in this knife," he shouted and turned to Jared. "You betrayed me after all these years!" He shouted and threw the knife at my father's feet.

"I didn't know the gems were not real my former mate and Luna kept this dagger hidden from me," Jared yelled back and approached the hunter menacingly.

I watched horrified as the hunter started chanting in a language I didn't understand as Jared fell to the ground on his knees breathing hard.

He's removing the powers controlling Jared I think, said Xavier.

If that's the case we can capture Jared and retrieve the dagger, I replied back.

An agonized scream ripped through the night as Jared collapsed in a heap at the hunter's feet. The hunter smiled and turned to look directly at me. I glared back ready to shift back at a moment's notice.

"You are of this wolfs blood kin I can smell it," he said his eyes starting to glow a sinister red as my heart raced faster. What are we dealing with here? I felt the fear creep in as the hunter scented the air and smiled even bigger as I shifted back to human. I felt his eyes trail go down my naked body spending time at my breasts before moving downwards.

"Little wolf is afraid of me, but you won't be for long. You will be the next one to join my forces under my control," he snarled out and that's when I noticed his fangs.
