Chapter 21 Meeting with the Elders

Hello all, wanted to let ya'll know I'm working overnights this month and will be updating on tues or weds as those are my days off. 

Aurora's POV
Once my stomach settled down Xavier walked with me down to the pack doctor's office. I was nervous and excited about being pregnant with a pup. Xavier was being supportive and protective of us it was adorable. I squeezed his hand gently as we approached the doctor's office. Xavier opened the door to a waiting room and approached the receptionist.
"The Luna has an appointment with Dr. Zeke at 7:30." He stated to the nurse behind the desk.
"I will get her checked in right away Alpha," she said kindly.
We didn't even have to sit down before we were escorted into a room. The nurse took my vitals and had me sit in the exam table.
"Dr. Zeke will be with you shortly," as she left, I felt myself getting nervous.
"How are you feeling now?" Asked Xavier concern for me evident in his voice.
"Not as nauseous but starting to get hungry," as I rubbed my belly gently and heard Xavier chuckle.
"We will eat together in the dining hall after this," he said as we heard a knock before a kind looking man entered the room.
"Good morning Alpha and Luna, I heard you had bit of rough morning Aurora," he said as he entered the room. "I'm Dr Zeke, I'm going to draw blood and a urine test to confirm your pregnancy as an ultrasound will be done in a few more weeks as a werewolves pregnancy is only four months compared to a humans." As he explained his nurse walked back in the room. She handed me a cup and showed me the bathroom.
While I was inside and quickly did my business I thought of how lucky I was to have such a protective mate as I felt my heart warm knowing I was probably carrying a pup. I left the sample in the bathroom and walked back into the room.
"We will take a blood sample as well so we make sure the Luna will be healthy and strong," as he quickly drew blood.
"Your elemental powers may cause some interesting developments which is one of the reasons I'm taking the sample," he explained.
" I will be back in just a few minutes with results," as Doctor Zeke and his nurse left the room.
"We might want to mention your pregnancy to the elders as they may have an insight to what we may expect if they cause issues the next four months," said Xavier thoughtfully.
"Agreed although it would be amusing for random flowers to pop up if I was to have bad pregnancy hormones," I teased.
"That would be interesting," as he smiled.
A knock sounded at the door and Dr Zeke walked back in.
"Congratulations Alpha and Luna you are indeed expecting a pup. I would like to see you back in two weeks for an ultrasound," said Zeke as I watched Xavier's reaction as his eyes watered with happy tears.
"I also have a list of things that will help with you morning sickness as well Luna," he said as he handed me a paper with suggestions to help with nausea and what to avoid.
"Thank you," I said as he excited the room I was quickly embraced by my mate. I inhaled his scent as my stomach rumbled. Xavier chuckled as he kisses me gently on the lips.
"Breakfast for us now," he said as we walked out of the doctor's office as new expecting parents.

We walked into the dining hall and I noticed Lily was instructing the newest pack baristas on how to make various espresso drinks and they had a decent line going. I smiled that she seemed to be in her element here training for me at least for today. Xavier led us over to a table where Matteo, Lorenzo, Adara and Heath were sitting.

"Good Morning Alpha and Luna," said a very cheerful Adara with a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"Good Morning Adara," I said as I sat down next to her and Xavier sat to my left. My stomach decided to choose that moment to let out an audible rumble.

"What did you two work up an appetite during extracurricular activities last night," teased Matteo. I felt myself blush while the others laughed, meanwhile Xavier let out a low growl that had everyone at the table laughing.
