Chapter 18 Challenging My Mate

The packhouse was huge most of the pack stayed on the lower floors but the fifth the floor belonged to the Alpha and Luna. The first floor contained the dining area and I was thrilled to see a small café set up that I was hoping to use. The second and third was housing for pack members while the fourth was mostly offices and a huge meeting room. Xavier had led me up the stairs quickly and led us to our room. The huge four poster canopy bed in the middle caught my attention, with silk sheets that were a dark red, with a sheer canopy around it.

"This is our room piccolo, the sheets we can change if you don't like them but you are free to decorate it however you want," he said pulling me close. "There is clothes in the walk in closet for you and the bathroom is supplied for you as well."

"It's perfect Xavier," I said smiling up at my mate who bent down and kissed me gently on the lips. What started out gentle became a battle of dominance between tongues until I finally submitted. I felt his rumble of pleasure as he pulled back with lust filled eyes.

"As much as I want you, I have a meeting with our security team to go over details for tonight," he said apologetically as he pulled me into a tight hug. I wrapped my arms around him comforted by being in his arms.

"That's okay I know you will make it up to me later Alpha," I teased hearing him growl.

"That is a promise principessa," he said eyes filled with love and lust.

"Is it okay for me to go down and use the espresso machine I could use a latte right about now," I said staring at him with my best puppy dog eyes. He burst out laughing at my expression on my face and I laughed with him.

"That's fine you might get bombarded by some of the pack members but they will behave themselves," he said after he got his laughter under control.

"Yay then I will see you later then," I said stepping away from Xavier.

"I will see you in a bit piccolo, try to behave yourself while you explore," he teased me as I sashayed out the bedroom door.

You have to tease our mate all the time don't you, said Aspen amused.

I have to have some fun with him he is always so serious otherwise, I replied.

That is true, she agreed with me.

I walked down to the first floor for the most part uninterrupted. I took in the scene in front of me as I approached the espresso machine it was a fancy one that looked like it wasn't used much. At least the bar for it was well stocked, toppings, syrups, high quality espresso beans, and in the fridge, I found heavy whipping cream, and milk. Perfect, I thought to myself this coffee bar has the perfect set up.

"I see you found the coffee bar just fine," said Adara as she approached me with a smile on her face pulling up a barstool.

"This caught my eye as soon as I walked into the dining area earlier," I explained.

"You were a barista at Silver Moon were you not?" She asked looking hopeful.

"I sure was what can I get you Adara?" I said going into full barista mode. She clapped her hands and cheered when I asked her.

"A white chocolate mocha with whipped cream please," she said as other pack members looked on as I started grinding espresso beans and prepping the machine. I watched as curious pack members came over to observe their future Luna working.

"Luna do you think you will have time to train some of us to be baristas?" I curious young male wolf with hazel eyes, and spiked brown hair asked.

"I'm pretty sure I can do that for you the pack would benefit from it as well if we can get a café opened up in town," I replied while I brewed the espresso and began to steam the milk. "What is your name?" I asked him while I reached for a large mug.
