Chapter 13 A Warrior Rises

I couldn't believe the sight in front of me my brother was alive! I made eye contact with him and what I saw in them made me shudder. I felt Xavier tense up at my reaction to seeing Heath after six years. Alpha Kade growled at him as he sat down in front of Heath while myself and Xavier moved behind him.

"What were you doing here on Silver Moon territory?" he commanded.

"I can't tell you the real reason they will harm her," he snarled.

"Harm who exactly? Aurora or perhaps someone else?" Snapped Kade.

"My sister is the one they want but please it hurts," as he winced and that's when I realized one of his tattoos in the shape of a dragon was glowing.

Xavier look at his shoulder, I said shocked.

I see it but that's impossible, he said I could feel is shock through our bond.

What is it? I asked.

That is the mark of the dark hunters a black dragon infused with their magic to control their subjects, I guarantee that his was inked with wolfsbane, he replied back processing what was going on.

"Alpha may I speak?" asked Xavier.

"Yes, you may Alpha Xavier," as he glanced over at us and motioned for him to continue.

"He bears the mark of the Dark Hunters if memory serves me right his was inked with dark magic and wolfsbane. In other words' he can't reveal his true purpose without being in excruciating pain or without alerting the hunters themselves more specifically the one he is bound to." He explained and I felt my heart break for my brother and all that he has been through. Tears started to form in my eyes as I took in his solemn expression.

"That is correct, I'm sorry for everything you have been through Aurora but things are very bad back home," he said looking directly at me as I did the best to keep my tears from falling.

"If you can't tell us what you were doing here can you briefly give us a rundown on what's happening back at Blood Moon?" Alpha Kade asked thoughtfully.

"Only that the Alpha needs to be challenged and removed from his status," Heath said angrily his fists clenched on the table despite his hands being bound together.

"Why?" I asked softly while trying to keep my composure.

"Because his Luna is a poisonous bitch who never should have been his second chance mate," he snarled while Xavier growled darkly not liking Heath's tone of voice.

"Dad found his second chance mate?" I asked shocked.

"Yes, around the time you were banished actually," said Heath as he took a deep breath calming himself back down. "It was shortly after that when the Dark Hunters moved in to the pack house and all hell broke loose," he stated as he shuddered.

That's when he let out an anguished scream breaking his bonds and standing up, Xavier grabbed me so that I was behind him and Kade. Heath's tattoo was glowing steadily his eyes went black before he spoke.

"On the Harvest Moon we will come for the elemental wolf with force or you can send her back with my host now and avoid any bloodshed and loss," he said an eerily voice that was not his own.

"We'll be waiting for you Hunter that is if you can find the one you seek," snapped Alpha Kade.

"Very well, I leave behind a gift for you selfish Alpha." I watched in horror as Heath shifted into his massive dark brown wolf his eyes frightened me as they were glowing red.
