Chapter 33 The Queen's Bloodlust

I showered quickly pondering over Xavier's words to me as Aspen tried to calm me reminding me to remain alert when we left the room. I dressed in the black warrior uniform and combat boots and quickly braided my hair over my shoulder. I looked in the mirror as my eyes softly glowed green. "I am Queen Alpha, and no one will fuck with me and my family," I stated to myself softly as Aspen growled in agreement. I knew Xavier probably heard what I said but I didn't care. Whatever awaited us today we would face head on together. I through my dirty clothes into the hamper and walked out to Xavier dressed in similar clothing to mine with Cypress nestled against his chest sleeping.

"You're ready to fight for us with everything you have aren't you princessa," he said softly eyes filled with nothing but love.

"Yes, I am," I said as I motioned for him to follow. "We are meeting in the conference room, correct?" I asked him as we left our bedroom.

"Yes, and Aiden will be sitting in on the debriefing via video chat to discuss your position as Alpha of Blood Moon," he said as we quickly walked down the stairs and into the conference room.

"Ah, good now everyone is gathered we will begin immediately so we can get prepared for an impending attack," King Atlas said solemnly as he glanced out the window. "It's too quiet, and we have word that we have other allies on the way here to Pine Mountain to pledge allegiance to the Queen Alpha," he added as he smiled at me as shock went through my body as Cypress squirmed against my hold snuggling closer.

"Allies are good, but word got out quick about her being a Queen Alpha," said Xavier cautiously.

"We all felt the connection snap into place here at Blood Moon when Aurora was made Alpha and Queen to the North American Pack. It was like a bolt of earthly energy went coursing through us refreshing and reassuring," came Aiden who was projected onto the screen at the head of the table.

"So, you knew then what had happened then and that I am an earth elemental," I said trying to keep my voice from betraying my unease.

"Yes, Alpha we did, and I've been leading the pack until you return if you agree to me being your beta until you are able to appoint a new one," Aiden said carefully knowing that he was the one who chased me from my home at a young age.

"That is fine with me Aiden," I said and was about to continue when the alarmed howls went up , we were under attack again.

"We have to go we are under attack, we will talk again soon Aiden," said Alpha Kade as Atlas and Xavier took off running put the door.

"Be safe and reinforcements from Blood Moon should be there soon we sent out our top warriors last night," Aiden said before he disconnected.

"Aurora get to the safe house with your pup protect those who are unable to defend themselves my Queen," said Alpha Kade and I nodded turning and shielding Cypress as I took off at a jog. I didn't get far once I exited the pack house and walked straight out into chaos with hunters surrounding Xavier in his wolf form. I snarled as I took in my mate's predicament and noticed the bitch Celeste standing next to the hybrid hunter from the other night. He took in the sight of me protectively shielding my pup as Aspen was snapping and snarling wanting to partially take over.

"Well Aurora so I see you're a Queen now but what will happen if I break your mate bond to the Alpha of Black Crescent," said the hunter as he grinned at me, and Celeste had a smug look on her face as my heart stuttered and Aspen went quiet.

"That's impossible," I whispered as genuine fear shot through me, I looked at Xavier and Zeus who whined and growled in warning.

Remember my words my love, protect our son at all costs, said Xavier calmly.
