Chapter 6 The Prophecy

Xavier's POV

I knew I was a too harsh with her when Zeus chastised me for it while I quickly showered. I quickly put on a pair of black jeans, a red button down shirt and Nike's. When I left the bathroom I quietly observed my mate. She was lost in her own thoughts watching the rain fall her beautiful brown hair was in curls as it flowed around her. I approached her and gently cupped her face in my hand, startling her.

"Are you ready to go?" I asked smiling and offering my hand to help her up.

"Yes I'm ready," her voice a bit shaky but she took my hand and I helped up her up. She is nervous about this meeting.

"Matteo and Lorenzo are going to meet us in the hall," I said taking her hand in mine as we proceeded through the door into the hallway. We waited a few minutes until Matteo and Lorenzo joined us.

"The meeting will be held downstairs near Alpha Kades office," She said before leading the way through the pack house. She greeted a few of the passing pack member's as we went.

She knocked once on the door before opening it to reveal a large round table set up with chairs. Alpha Kade was situated at the head of the table, Jake, Hunter, Flynn and Felix were already at their seats. She went to move towards Felix to the empty chair but I pulled her back.

"I want you by my side as my future Luna it's only fitting," I said with a stern look that left everyone suprised.

She simply nodded and took the spot to my right, Matteo and Lorenzo to the left.

As we all took our seats Alpha Kade started the meeting.

"You requested an audience with the Silver Moon pack so what brings you here?" He asked intrigued by my request in the first place.

"We recently had an attack where some wolves with some rogues came onto our lands. They tried to kidnap several of our packs pups." I said keeping my voice as free of my anger as possible.

"Something else must have happened if you are here," inquired Jake as he shrunk in his seat by his father's gaze as he was being scolded for speaking out of turn.

"They had a dark hunter one who is able to wield black magic," I stated calmly feeling Aurora shift in her seat nervously.

"Black magic? Don't you have an alliance with a coven of witch's that can help you?" asked  Kade accusingly. He has done his research of my pack at least I thought before revealing what I knew would change everything.

"There is a prophecy my grandma Natalia, spoke of right before we requested the audience with you. She said the time will come when four wolves will awaken their powers of earth, fire, air, and water. They will be direct descendants of the witches who banished the dark hunters once before. In order to fully defeat them four gems will need to be gathered and joined together on a blade of silver." I paused taking in the stunned faces of those in the room and glanced at Aurora who seemed in awe of what I just said.

"I believe Aurora is one of these wolves after her display of power this afternoon," I said looking directly at Alpha Kade.

"Interesting do you have any leads on the whereabouts of these gems.? Asked a calm and collective Kade.

"Yes, we believe Blood Moon pack has the emerald in their possession based on information of the wolf we captured," I stated noticing Aurora had jumped when I mentioned Blood Moon.

She is getting very nervous fratello, (brother) it seems like we aren't the only ones keeping secrets, said Matteo calmly observing the situation.

I know they are hiding something and my mate must know it might be revealed tonight, I replied before cutting the link.

I reached over and squeezed one of Aurora's hands to comfort her. Something was going on with my mate but what is making her so nervous?

Aurora's POV

I knew I was nervous and Xavier knew this by the gentle squeeze of my hand in his.

"Was it Blood Moon who attacked your territory?" asked Felix a bit rough but I knew he was thinking like a warrior.

"Yes the wolves that attacked us are from the Blood Moon Pack and they had multiple dark hunters with them," said Lorenzo as calmly as he could. I jumped out of my seat and walked over to the window behind Felix. This can't be happening why did my former pack attack them. My heart was pounding, palms becoming sweaty, I knew that they could all smell my fear by now.

Calm yourself, ordered Alpha Kade.

I took a deep breath before turning around to face the rest of the group. Xavier seemed extremely worried by my sudden behavior.

"We did capture the Beta, who-," I growled in a sudden burst of anger interrupting Lorenzo.

"Did this Beta give you his name by any chance," I snarled at him not caring that I was out of line.

Reign in your wolf, Now! Said Kade asserting his Alpha tone.

Your eyes are starting to glow green, said a concerned Jake.

I glanced at my reflection in the window and yup my eyes were glowing as I felt the warmth of my power.

"Yes his name is Aiden but I don't know why that is so important to you," snapped Lorenzo snarling at me ready to defend his Alpha.

"Aurora I think now is the perfect time to clear the air with our visitors," said Alpha Kade in a dominating tone of voice. I took a deep breath and faced Xavier, Matteo and Lorenzo before I started telling them my past.

"My full name is Aurora Jade Knight, daughter of Jared Knight Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack," I stated feeling tears spring to my eyes. All the fear and pain from the past flooding my senses. Lorenzo snarled when I mentioned my father's name. "Six years ago there was an incident involving my brother who was gravely injured, I was deemed dangerous and banished by my father." I felt the tears running down my face as the pain from the past resurfaced. I lifted my gaze to look at my mate and I regretted it immediately his face was full of rage. I couldn't stand it; I ran out of the meeting room hearing someone shout my name as I flew out the door. I ran out of the packhouse and into the pouring rain. I shifted immediately into my wolf as the wind blew strong from the storm. I blocked anyone from trying mind link me. I needed to get away to somewhere safe and could be alone.

Aspen get us out of here, somewhere where we can be alone, I whimpered.

How about up to Moonstone falls, she asked quietly feeling my anguish.

That's perfect, and with that I let her take over.

Ari, Xavier isn't going to reject us is he? She asked worried.

I honestly don't know, as I felt my anguish peak.

Aspen let out a long anguished howl feeling my pain as I remembered the look on Xavier's face. I heard another wolf howl and knew the rest of pack heard our howl of pain and anguish. They knew a pack member was suffering and they didn't know what to do. Aspen dug her claws into the wet earth and pounded up the trail leading to a place that was scared to me up to Moonstone Falls where I was found six years ago.
