"AHHHH HA AHHH GAH!" Yuna screams, fills the room, and Niki holds her down with Soobin as mom and dad remove a silver bullet from her waste. They flushed the wound and cleaned it to start the healing process. I stood back and watched because what can I really do when I'm the only human in a pack of wolves.
"Did she-?"
"No, she just blacked out from the pain. How long ago was it that you were attacked?" Mom asked.
"Almost 13 hours now," Niki said.
"She's lucky to even still be alive. This bullet is now only just pure silver but was laced with wolvesbane. Her heart should've stopped hours ago, " dad said.
"I asked one of the three gaurdians left to help me keep her alive until I found you guys," he said.
Mom and dad were shocked to know that a gaurdian still exists on this day. When they took me in, they actually knew a gaurdian back then, but she died. Her son left town after she was buried. Could he be the one who helped Niki.
"Niki, you should rest yourself," Soobin said.
"I'll clean your wound and stitch you up," I said.
"I'll help," Soobin adds.
We lay him down and begin to clean the blood and then disinfect the wound. He was actually very calm about it and didn't move at all.
"Niki, do you have a place to go?" Soobin's mom asked.
"No, but we'll be out of your fur when she's healed," he said.
"No. You can join our pack. You guys don't have to survive alone, " Soobin said.
"He's right. We are all wolves here, and we can protect each other," She said.
"All except her," Niki said.
"I may not be a wolf, but I am well part of this pack too. You can trust me, " I said.
"What happened to your human family that you're living with wolves?" He asked.
"That's not something we talk about here, Niki. Her family was attacked, and just like you 2, she was the only survivor. " Soobin's dad steps in.
"By the -" before he could finish, Soobin cuts him off.
"Okay, that's enough. You should get some rest, Niki," Soobin says.
"Agreed," his parents said in unison, pulling me away from him.
Why did they all become tense just now was it something he said. Niki doesn't seem that bad of a person. I just feel like right now he's scared after what happened to his pack.
