I had to leave something that wasn't right with Niki or Yuna. Although I hate leaving her with a vampire, Ryujin hasn't given me any reason not to trust her. Although I hope she doesn't plan on connecting Sunghoon to her. 

Damn so much stuff to worry and think about. I headed back to where Niki said his pack was attacked and caught on the faint smell of blood from various bodies. Just a little bit further, I'm so tired I haven't stopped to take any breaks since I left, and I'm running out of energy without having eaten anything either. 

Upon arriving at the location, bodies were scattered and not just 2 or 3  but 20. I knew this pack was large, but I didn't think it was this large. The faint scent of a vampire lingers in this area like a toxic fog. The smell of pure death reeked, and I don't just mean the dead bodies. Those blood sucking monsters did this, but who could be strong enough to take out a pack this big in numbers? Most importantly, why? What are they planning, and are there multiple or just one? Could the hunters have anything to do with this situation?

I got so angry that I shifted and punched the ground. It split and collapsed inward. I climb into the newly formed hole and see entrance ways. I followed them to see what was there. I found the body of a little girl here she was holding something in her hand. I lifted it and up and unwrapped it. I dropped it in seconds, though, because this object is forbidden to be held by a wolf. So this must be why they were attacked. Whoever came here and done this was looking for this relic. This, however, doesn't even belong to a vampire. This belongs to the guardians. This supplies a cloak over whomever holds it and contains other powers as well. Why does his clan need this anyway? What were the trying to protect?

"ahhh eyy ah ey"

Is that a baby crying? I walk over to a vault and pull the slab to the side.

I picked up the baby and fixed the blanket around it. When I looked at the mark on it's neck it's became clear why Niki's pack was attacked and why they needed a cloak relic from the guardians. 

This baby is a cross breed child of a vampire and a wolf. Someone in his pack broke code and betrayed everyone. I picked the relic up with the cloth it was in and re-wrapped it.

After tucking it into the babies blanket and tying the blanket into a basket wrap, I  put the child in the vault and gathered all the bodies outside. This is a wolf tomb. Only large packs have one. Other packs use territorial burial grounds that are given to us by guardians. After everyone was down here, I looked around for more things. All I was able to find was a bag of herbal remedies and Guardian books. 

I look around a bit more and see a large frame of the pack as human and in transformation. Niki and Yuna look very young in the photo. I take it off the wall and then take the baby outside and begin to bury the fallen pack. I leave a small entry hole and cover it with leaves branches.

 By the time I was done, the sun was setting. I have to get home now. mom and dad don't know where I went, and if I told anyone, they would've stopped me. I put the bag around me and shifted. With that, I carry the child in my mouth and hurried home.
