Who you are at heart

After that day, the fights, the war, the hate and disputes were finally over, and everything went back to normal. In just a short time Yeonjun and I cleared everything up. My brother explained where he had been this entire time and how Winter tricked him into an alliance. The cub was under my protection, and more beings of our supernatural realm appeared by the day and settled here in the forest. The guardians looked upon me as their savior, and I restored their homes at the edge of the forest. I rebuilt the ruins here in the forest and brought Niki back to his home to gather the relics of his fallen pack. I helped the hunters to cover all the mess we made, and the police had taken Heesung into custody where he would be locked away from civilization. I sat many nights with Winter to heal her wounds and repair her vision and hearing. She confessed to all her brothers' crimes and how he too away her will of acting on her own, away from her at a young age. She explained that a gaurdian who's long passed had trapped her in the spell, and only once he's been defeated will she be freed of him. Healing her is taking longer than it should, but because this was all very new to me. I was just a normal girl, and now I'm not only one of them, I'm all of them.

Jake helped me to heal as many wounded as possible. Soobin took care of all the fatalities. His parents and the new pack had made clearings in the forest for us guardians to build a home for as many of those who show up. We built a home for the wolves and a home for the Vampires with wards to protect them. We put up a protective barrier on the forest to keep us protected from the town and the town protected from us. Yeonjun and I had come to terms of living separated from our people, so we picked up and moved to the edge of the woods that looked over the guardian sanctuary where they now bury their dead.

Our friends not too far from us decided to make amends, and they took Winter in as their own and moved into one house together. Taehyun had apologized for all that he had done to our people and even found a remedy to cure Soobin of the wolves' bane arrowhead. He treated him for weeks until he was back to his full potential. Soobin and Yeonjun have finally gone back to the way they were before my parents died. We are a big family now.

"Hey Nabi,"

"Ryujin," I said about crying.

I walk over to her and hug her like life depended on it and felt complete.

"You are not allowed to leave me again," I say, tearing up. She laughs and apologizes for leaving me to face everything that happened on my own.

"Hey, what if we all head down to the lake?" Sunghoon asked.

"That's an amazing idea," Yeonjun said. The two playfully nudge each other, and Soobin laughs, watching them get along again.

I walk with Lia Ryujin Chae Yeji and Yuna. We walk the boys being reckles,  and when we made it down into the lake, Lia chae Jake and sunghoon carried and pushed Soobin and Yeonjun into the lake.

"Who will you save this time, Nabi?" Sunghoon asked, laughing.

"Aish you." I jump into the lake after the two and used my vampire and wolf strength to pull the two out, dragging them onto land.

"I will always save them both because we were born in the same river," I said.

"Nabi." I looked over in the direction the voice came from and saw Soobin's mother.

Is something wrong? I run over to her all soaking wet, and she hands me a book.

"What is this?" I asked.

"This used to belong to your mother, and she left me with it explaining that there will come a day when you have finally matured in which I should give this to you. It contains the secrets of your kind and secrets your parents kept from both you and your brother she knew she wouldn't get to tell you it all in person so she wrote it down in many journals and asked me to give them to you through out time for you and your brother to read upon. Your power as a guardian didn't come from your birthplace. It came from your mother. You were born as a human child because of your father. He's not like us. Yet he still accepted us as family. That's why when they died, we took you in. They signed you and your brother over to us, but he was thought to be dead, " She says.

"So mom was just like me?" I asked.

"Yes, and she wrote everything you need to know down in her journals. There will come a day where you and your people, the other guardians, will reunite at the sanctuary and rebuild your kind. You have to prepare yourself for that day because they will see you as their new ruler. Though you are not a pure born like my Soobin or like Yeonjun, you are stronger than the two, so you rule for all three kinds of supernatural beings. Are you ready for that Song Nabi?" She asked as others joined in around her.

These people they all look up to me, a young adult to rule before them and care for their people. I am not at all ready for something like this, but if that's my destiny, then so be it because this is my new family.

"I am, but I won't be doing this on my own," I say.

I turn around and face my friends.

"We will rule over our kinds, and we will protect you with our lives," I say.

Yeonjun walks over to me, and I take his hand in mine.

"This is our realm our people our home. I'll lead these people so long as Yeonjun can lead with me," I say.

The wolves howl. The vampires cheer. The few guardians set off fireworks over the sunset. 

This is our kingdom. 

I am his Sire.

This is my family, my friends, my people, my kind.

This is the final seal of our Blood Bond.
