Yeonjun's pov

After that night, Nabi hasn't been the same. I haven't gotten a single night of rest, and neither has Jay. We both stay with her to make sure she's alright and to wake her from her sleep. Her cries echo through this house like a siren and it's scaring me because she's slowly remembering small things about that night but once she discovers that it was me I fear she'll  want to leave here and turn to those hunters for help. I was left with no choice but to call Jake back here to help her.

"How is she?" I asked.

"She's doing a bit better. I found a way to stop the dreams she's having, " he said.

"How?" Jay shot up from his seat.

"You two haven't gotten any sleep since this started, have you?" Jake laughs.

"No, we haven't," I said.

"Well, I'm going to need a drop of your blood and a drop of hers. I can mix it into the pendent, and it'll allow you to talk to her in her sleep, changing the course of her dream from bad to good, " he said.

"So it'll let me tell her what to dream about?" I asked.

"Yes but I  will warn you whom  ever it is trying to talk to her will most likely try fighting against you it'll  be your job yo make sure she follows the direction of you voice you'll need to tap into her physique and stear her in the right direction to having good dreams instead of nightmares of her past" he says.

"And if I can't," I say.

"You can't think like that," Jay says.

"He's right. This isn't for you guys. This is for Nabi's sake," Jake says.

"Alright," I tried to sound optimistic.

"Okay, I'll go extract some of her blood, but I'll let you pull some of your own," he says.

I bite into my wrist and let my blood fill the bowl on the counter before it heals. I wipe away the rest from my hand with a blood red cloth and toss it away.

In seconds, I feel my eyes change color, and I transition at the scent of her blood from upstairs. I lost control of my body and went after her. Jay stands at the top of the stairs and grabs me before I can make it to her.

"Jay let go of me,"

"No, you're not thinking straight. I smell it too, and trust me, I know it's hard for you to fight it, but you need to because that's your blood bond in there, " he said.

"Gentlemen let go of each other," Jake  said.

"Drink" ????

"Mom, dad? Jake, what did you do?" I said.

"Jay, go stay with Nabi and make sure she doesn't come out here," Jake said.

Jay leaves to go stay with Nabi as I stare at my parents downstairs.

"After your parents came home, I was to guide them away, but I chose to approach them and get the truth about that day from them," he said.

"We never wanted her dead, Yeonjun. We wanted you to close the gates of your blood bond. That night wasn't  intended to kill her it was for you to feed on her blood. The reason you have no control when you smell her blood is because you never fed. We thought you killed her. "

"What? No, you're lying to me. You wanted me to be a part of your pathetic plans on overtaking the supernatural world, "

"Isn't it against the laws for one to feed on their blood bond from the vain"  Jake asked.

"Yes, but if she consented to it, then it was fine," dad said.

"Wouldn't she have to sign for it, though?"

"You tried to incriminate me," I said.

"We wanted to end your suffering," Mom said.

"I'm only suffering because of you. I was in love with this girl she was my best friend. We all were close with her, and because of what I did, she's  suffering every single day paying the price for it, " I said, trying to stay calm.

"Yeonjun, it's not against the law to drink outside the vein," Jake said.

"Those dreams won't stop, will they. All of this was just ploy, wasn't it?" I asked.

"We can help her like we helped Beomgyu, but we need you to close the gate so long as it stays open her dreams are only going to get worse," Mom says.

Jake gives me the cup, and just the smell of her blood alone puts me in a trance. I raise it up to my mouth, but my body fights it with every fiber. I started to grow dizzy and collapsed.

Darkness swallowed me whole, but her sweet scent was the last thing I remember.

Nabi's pov

I woke up with Jay by my side. I apologized for waking him and immediately tried to leave the room. He corrected me and said that I didn't  wake him but that I should go check on Yeonjun.

Did something happen while I was asleep?

I went into his room, and he was lying there unconscious. I took his hand in mine and felt how hot his hands were. I place the back of my hand on his neck and check his temperature to see that he has a fever. I leave to go downstairs to get a towel and some cold water in a bowl. On my way back to his room, I'm greeted by two strangers.

"Who are you?"

"You don't remember us?" The woman asked.

"Should I?" I ask.

"It's alright I'm-"

"Stay away from her,"

"Yeonjun?" I put the bowl and towel down and run to him before he falls to the floor.

I helped him stand and hold him, but he pushed me behind him, shielding me from the two people before us.

"Yeonjun, what's wrong? What's going on? Who are they?" I asked.

"My parents," he said.

"What's wrong with me meeting your parents?" I ask.

He turns to me, holding me tightly, before pushing me away from them.

"You don't know them like I do they aren't what you think," he said.

"Yeonjun, I think you need to lay down your fever is making you more ill," I said.

"NO NABI JUST LISTEN TO ME PLEASE!" He yelled at me, squeezing my arms.

"Ow, Yeonjun, you're hurting me." I winced in pain.

"Yeonjun, step back," Jay said.

Yeonjun took my hand and dragged  me away from everyone.

"Nabi, look, I'm sorry it's just that my parents are very manipulative and can often pretend they care when they indeed don't, and above all of that, they are dangerous, okay?" he says

"Yeonjun, I get it okay, but you really need to rest. What ever complicated  history you have with your parent is none of my business but I can't just ignore them thats disrespectful and I can't do that to them when I'm living in their home until Soobin gets back" I said.

"Just promise me you'll be on gaurd when they come near you," he says.

"Of course," I say.

"Nabi"

"Yeonjun, I promise now wait here until I come back," I say. I go back downstairs to get the bowl and towel before returning to his room.

He lays there as I wet the towel and wipe away his sweat. His eyes never leave me, not once, and for a moment, I feel my cheeks grow hot and flustered. He take the towel and bowl from my hand, putting them on the end table, and pulls my face to his before kissing me. I felt the walls that were built around me fall to the ground and submit to his kiss like nothing. It's almost as if this was bound to happen, but was I really falling for Yeonjun?
In this moment, I swear I could hear his heartbeat, but I could also smell his blood as well. What's happening to me?
