Normal pov

"Soobin, where have you been?" Mom asked.

"I was doing a search around the woods to make sure that the ones who attacked them won't trace them back to here," He said.

He's hiding something. I got up and left the house.

"NABI WAIT!" He called after me and chased me.

I walked around the house and looked for what he was hiding.

"YAH NABI!" he shouts.

"You're hiding something," I said, facing him.

"How did you -"

"Where is it?" I cut him off. He sighed and took my hand.

He leads me to a hole he dug into the ground.

"IS THAT A BA!" He covers my mouth and shushes me.

"It's from Niki's pack, but you can't tell anyone where I was," He whispered.

"I thought they were the only survivors, thought," I said.

"So did I. Call Ryujin, " He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"We can't keep this baby here. mom and dad will not allow something like this," he said.

"Like what?" They asked unison, walking up to us.

"Crap. Okay, so I lied, but I had all good reasons to, " He said.

"Spill." His mom folds her arms.

"Before I show you, let me explain," He said.

"Where did you go?" Dad asked.

"I went back to where their pack was attacked. I had this awful gut feeling, and I was right about it. I don't think they knew what really was going on or the secrets that were held from the pack, " He said.

"What do you mean, what kind of secrets?" Mom asked.

"A vampire killed a pack of 20. Only one of them was a toddler she was guarding this baby, but she was dead when I got there, " He said, lifting the baby.

"We need to let them know," I said.

"No, this baby is a great crime for us, and we can't keep it here. A guardian needs to keep hold of it. Ryujin she is very skilled and can help us find one, " He said.

"No,"

Niki. Did he hear all of that.

"I'm sorry for going behind your back, Niki," Soobin says.

"This was my sisters child. No crime was committed," He said.

"Niki, can I speak with you in private?" He asked.

Soobin and Niki left somewhere, and Mom watched over the baby.

"What crime was he talking about?" I asked.

"The law of a pack is more of a code to not keep secrets in the pack that'll harm your own," She said.

"So, do you think that the baby was a secret that brought harm to theirs?" I asked,

"Maybe," She said.

How harmful could a newborn be?
