"Holy shit, is he really still alive?" Fisk asks. He had left for an hour or so after the last beating, leaving Peter to bleed out on Tony's lap. The kid is basically unconscious and hasn't spoken a word, just laid there while Tony whispered reassurances.
"He- barely. Barely. Please- You gotta- No." Tony stutters, his face is sheet white, his eyes are watering and sweat is dripping down his forehead.
"Hey." Wilson steps closer to the genius who's straddling the child in his arms. "Who gave you permission to get out of the restraints?"
Tony leans over Peter protectively, "Don't touch him." He had completely forgotten about the fact that he broken out of the duct tape in order to hold the kid.
"Don't worry, Stark. I got no need to hurt him more, he's already dying." Fisk says, he paces around the two in the middle of the floor. "I'm just gonna wait until it happens, and watch you break inside. I would sit down..." He explains, but then he points to the broken chair in the corner, "but as you can see, there's no place to sit anymore."
"Please- I'm begging you- Help him."
"I'm sure you won't try to stop any more of my 'activities.' Let this be a lesson to you." Fisk tells him with a smug smile.
"I swear, please, I swear. I won't come anywhere near your business, I swear. Just- Just please..." Tony replies desperately.
"I know you won't." Fisk pouts as he pats the man on the head with fake sympathy.
And then there's a groan, Peter stirs as he opens his eyes slowly.
"Kid." Tony says with a sigh, "I'm here. I gotcha."
"M- Mr. Stark- I- It hurts-" He cries as he wraps his fingers in his father figures shirt.
"It's alright." Tony says, the tears drip down his face but he tries to keep a smile on his face to comfort the kid. "Everything's alright."
"How touching." Fisk says with a chuckle. "I'm surprised you're still alive, I say one more whack would take you out."
Peter trembles in his arms and twists to try and get closer to him. Tony immediately shields him with his body and puts a hand on the back of his head as he hugs him.
"Fuck you. I'll die before I let you touch him." Tony snarls.
"Easy, Stark. I want him to die slowly, I'm not gonna make it fast for you."
"Hurts-" Peter sobs, looking at his bloody body.
"I know, I know, kid. It's gonna be okay. We'll be okay. Hang on, kid. Just hang on..." Tony whispers to him.
A man appears at the door with a worried look on his face. "Sir?" He asks Fisk, who quickly turns to face him.
"What? Can't you see I'm in the middle of something?" He asks sarcastically.
"The alarm. Someone tripped the alarm." The man tells him.
"Oh shit..." Fisk sighs, "Stay here, don't let these two out of your sight."
"Yes, sir."
Fisk walks angrily out of the door and the two are left alone with the new man, he doesn't look like he'd be hard to take down, but Tony isn't planning on letting go of the kid to try.
There's a loud noise that comes from a few rooms away, like someone had just broken into the building.
Tony grasps Peter closer to him and waits until another new person appears in the doorway. Everything happens far too fast, and the man that Fisk had left with them is quickly subdued by Captain America.
"Holy shit. Tony? You okay?" Steve asks, rushing over to the two and then he sees the kid. "Oh my God. Oh my God, what happened?"
"Help him. You gotta help him. Go. Please." Tony tells him. And as much as Steve wants to wait and help both of them, he knows his friend would never forgive him if he didn't do what he said. He lifts the kid into his own arms and then rushes out of the room as he says, "I'll come back for you, Tony."
The billionaire is still in shock when the hero comes back to help him out to the ambulance. His legs buckle when he tries to stand but Steve helps him up and practically carries him to safety too.
But Tony quickly comes back to himself when he realises that Peter isn't in the same ambulance that he's in. "The kid. The kid. Where's the kid?" He asks in a panic.
"Tony, listen to me, he's going into ICU. You're injured you need a hospital too. There's nothing you can do right now." Steve says, trying to gently push his friend onto the bed as the paramedics shut the door.
"No. No. Steve, let me see him. Open- No. Get off me..." Tony replies, shoving Steve away from him, but he barely has any strength left and the super soldier could overpower him even when he's at full strength.
"It's adrenaline and fear. We can sedate him if we need to." The paramedic tells Steve.
"No. Don't- Don't fucking touch me! I need to see Peter!" Tony shouts at them, as his friend's grip tightens around his chest and he pins him to the bed. "Get off me, Rogers! He needs me!"
"Listen to me, Tony. You're hurt. The kid is okay. You gotta cooperate here."
"No! I'm fine! I'm okay, just let me- Get off of me!" Tony yells at him angrily.
"Knock him out." Steve says calmly, he keeps a right grip on his friend, he gets more forceful when Tony attempts to fight back. He squirms and he kicks but when he can't seem to do anything he pleads with Steve instead. "Please. Please- Just let me see him. I'm okay- Steve I swear. I- Let go." He whispers. But Steve takes the needle from the paramedic's hand and jabs it into his neck, releasing the liquid into him. "I'm sorry." He says with teary eyes as Tony quickly falls under.

When he wakes up a few hours later, he opens his eyes to see Steve and Clint sitting down beside his bed.
"Hey, Tony." Clint says softly to him, "You okay?"
And despite his head feeling fuzzy, the genius immediately thinks of the kid.
"I gotta go see Peter." He slurs his words and tries to sit up when there's a tight pain on his wrists.
He looks down to see that his hands and ankles are connected to the medical bed.
"What? I- Steve?"
"It's a precaution, Tony." Clint tells him, "You need to stay in the hospital for at least a few days."
"No. No. You can't do this! I need to see him!"
"Peter is fine. He's in a stable condition but he needs surgery to fix his arm and his cheekbone. You can't help him right now. But you can help yourself." Steve explains.
"Fuck you, Rogers! I was made to watch as that asshole beat the shit out of a child with a crowbar for God knows how long! You're supposed to be my friends!"
"Tony. Calm down. If you don't we're going to use this on you." Clint says, showing him the same size needle as Steve had used on him before. "You don't want that. And we don't want to do that. So just stay calm."
"Don't- Please don't drug me again." Tony whispers. "Just let me go ."
"Everything's alright, Stark. I promise."
Tony takes a few breaths, and then he drops his head on the pillow and cries softly. "Fuck." His voice cracks, "He nearly killed him."
"It's okay." Steve tells him quietly, and he nods to Clint who starts taking off the restraints. "You saved him, Tony."
And the genius pulls him into a hug with his now free arms, he cries into his shoulder as Clint grasps his hand. He's exhausted and it doesn't take a minute before he's fallen back asleep.

Four days later and Peter was out, he was allowed to go back to the medical bay in Stark Tower now that his major injuries were healing. It took four months before he could walk again but spending time on the couch with his dad made the time fly. They were both okay, just like Tony had told Peter and himself. They were okay.
