The sight of the huge robot makes Peter's eyes widen in fear. He'd never seen anything like that before, it pulls him from his imagination. He gets to his feet, he doesn't know what he could possibly do to fight the creature but he's ready to try and protect Tony.
"Pick your jaw up off the floor, Stark. And tell me where the Tesseract is." Ultron says, there's no humour in his voice, just malice.
"Can't give it to you." Tony replies, "I don't have it."
"We tracked it to this location." Pietro quickly interrupts.
"I can't give it to you. I don't have the passcode to the safe, my head of security does and he's not here." Tony lies.
"You're a liar and a cheat." Wanda says, her eyes shifting from normal to light red.
"Tell you what." Tony starts. "Let the kid leave and you can find out from me. Fuck with my head. Let Peter go downstairs." He gestures over to the child and softly says, "C'mere, go find Pepper. She'll take care of you."
Before Peter gets the chance to say anything, he's thrown back and up against the cupboards behind him.
"He doesn't leave until we get it." Wanda says, her hand pinning him in one spot with her magic.
Peter resists but her powers are so strong that it barely looks like he's trying at all.
"And who is this?" Ultron asks, tilting to head to look at the kid.
"He's fifteen, he's just an intern. This isn't his fight." Tony says nervously.
"And what's your name?" Ultron ignores him and keeps talking to Peter, who doesn't know what to do. He glances to Tony looking for some help, or comfort, or anything at all. The genius can't do anything. He feels helpless.
"You don't look very happy, Tony. Is there anything I can do to help?" Pietro taunts.
"Bring the kid to me." Ultron tells Wanda, and she immediately does as he says.
"No!" Tony rushes to try and help but Pietro is in front of him immediately, he hits into him with so much force that he falls to the floor.
Peter panics as he tries to stop himself from being dragged to the robot. Once he reaches him, he's pulled to his feet as Ultron wraps a metal half around his throat. It's not tight, but Peter knows that he could kill him within a second and he couldn't stop him. He tries to pry the hand off of his neck and when that doesn't work, he throws a punch.
Tony flinches when he hears the kid cry out.
"Let him go!" Tony shouts.
Tears stream down Peter's face as his hand aches from hitting Ultron, he definitely has some broken bones.
"Calm down, Stark. He doesn't have to die. All we need is the Tesseract. Get it. And you can have him." The robot orders.
"Don't Mr. Stark... don't give it to them." Peter whispers before he's cut off by Ultron's grip tightening. The kid chokes out a gasp.
"I'll tell you the code if you let him go!"

Peter's dropped to the floor, panting and crying. He looks to Tony who runs over to him and scoops him into a hug. The genius is almost surprised that no one stops him.
"I'm sorry- I'm sorry- I-"
Tony cuts him off. "It's okay. I promise it's gonna be okay. Just go downstairs. Don't come back up." He warns, "I'm serious. Don't."
"I- I can't leave you..."
"Enough. Neither of you go anywhere until we get what we want." Ultron's voice pulls them from their conversation.

Tony looks up and then his eyes turn red and then white. Peter looks at him, "Mr. Stark!" He sees the red power waves float from Wanda's hand into Tony's brain. The kid gently places his father figures' limp head on the ground before he tries to shake him awake.
"Mr. Stark? Hey- What are you doing to him?!" He shouts up at the girl in front of him.
She doesn't respond to him though, just looks to Ultron and says. "It's on the top floor, the code is 1008."
"Good." The robot says. "By the time they wake up we'll already be in the wind."
Tony's eyes shoot open, his head sweating with panic. But he still finds the energy to hold Peter close to him.
"You okay? Mr. Stark-" Peter asks as Tony holds his face in his hands.
"Yeah- yeah. I'm..."
"Knock them out. Or kill them. Doesn't matter." Ultron doesn't wait for a response before he flies out of the window and up to the top floor.
Tony breathes a sigh of relief before turning his attention to Wanda. "You can stop this. Look into his mind. You'll see what he wants. I know you don't trust me but you have to know that he'll kill you. You and your brother."
He waits for a reply but the twins just look to each other.
"You're not stupid. You know what an infinity stone can do." He continues. "You don't have to like me. You can hate me if it makes you feel better. But I didn't know your parents. What I do know is that I'd die for this kid." He looks down at Peter. "I don't want him to die. I can't- I can't let him die."
The twins still don't say anything.
"Call Uncle Steve. We gotta stop him." Peter says anxiously.
"It's gonna be alright. It's gonna be okay." Tony whispers back to him, fingers running up and down his back protectively. "Does your hand hurt?"
"Yeah- it hurts- it-"
Tony gently rubs his fingers over Peter's bruised knuckles.
"Wanda..." Pietro says. "We do what Ultron says. He's been good to us."
"Not like that." She points to the two heroes on the floor holding each other. "He doesn't care about us like that. The way they care about each other."
"Tony Stark tried to kill us. He killed our parents! We do what Ultron says."
"Wanda listen to me. Wherever Ultron is... just read his mind. You can see what he really is. Shit, I've seen what you can do, you could kill him. You know you can." Tony tells her softly.
Quicksilver snatches Peter from the genius's arms and reappears in the corner of the room. He's holding the kid to chest with his right arm and there's a needle in his left.
Peter turns and pushes his away with the little strength he has left. He can feel his body trying to slow down the sedative but it's still affecting him. He drops to his knees and lets his eyes close, trying his best to ignore Tony's yelling.
"Don't!" He cant get another word in before Pietro is doing the same to him, emptying a needle in his neck.
And then him and Wanda are gone. Tony can't see it because it happens so fast, but he assumes Pietro took her and went down the stairs and out the front door.
The sedative affects him much faster than Peter, who crawls over to his mentor. By the time he reaches Tony, he's already out. And Peter curses his regenerative abilities, wishing selfishly that he'd have been knocked out before Tony. He can't fight it off for much longer, and he knows it, so he lays on his father figure's chest and waits for it.

When he wakes up, Tony is still out. But he can hear Pepper on the phone.
"Peter's awake!" She shouts down the line, "It's okay baby, paramedics are coming up from the Medbay. You're alright."
"Hi- h- hi. Ms Potts- I'm fine. You- you gotta call the rest of the Avengers." He says after taking a minute to compose himself.
"Okay, baby. We're gonna get you and Tony to the Medbay and then we'll talk about everything." Pepper reassures him.
And she told the truth. The paramedics came up in the lift, two beds were already prepared for them both. They bandaged up Peter's hand and Tony woke up a few hours later. They were okay. It was up to Wanda now. Tony just hoped she'd do the right thing.
