As excited as I was to tell Joshua, I waited until nighttime for Joshua to come home. I didn't want to disturb him during his working hour so I decided to wait for him instead. Usually he'd be home by 9.30 pm if he's not home by 7.00 pm.

After waiting for a while, I heard his car pulling over. I was excited to see him of course. When he came into the living room, I was shocked to see that he brought Byeol eonnie along. My heart was filled with joy upon seeing one of my best friends in front of me

"Eonnie !!!" I hugged her

"Sooyoungie !!! I missed you !!!" she hugged me back

Joshua chuckling caught both of our attentions and Byeol eonnie broke the hug apologized to him

"There's no need to be sorry" he laughed softly

"Welcome home my honey" I hugged him

"Thank you dear" he kissed my temple

"Have you had dinner ??? If not, I've made some" I said to him

"I haven't and I'll be taking my bath and relax first okay ?? You two should catch up and eat first. I'll join you two when I'm done" he ruffled my hair

"Okay !" I grinned

He left both Byeol eonnie and I alone in the living room

"Oh my gosh, how have you been ?! It's been so long !!" I asked

"I've been well my dear. What about you ?" she responded

"I'm also doing well ~ In fact I have a very very important news to tell you !" I said excitedly

"Oh ? What is it ?" she asked

"This !" I showed her the pregnancy test that I did earlier

"Oh my gosh !!!! This is BIG news !!!! Have you told Joshua ?" she asked and I shook my head

"I'm planning to tell him later" I grinned

"My sudden visit must've ruined your plan. I'm sorry dear" said Byeol

"No !!! Your visit is a blessing for both Joshua and I ! In fact, I'm happy to have the opportunity to tell you face to face !" I exclaimed

"You're being sweet and it's cute of you. Have you take a trip to the doctor to double check it ?" she asked and I nodded

"Sweet ! I'm sure Joshua would be overjoyed when he knows about this amazing news of yours" said Byeol with a fond smile carved onto her lips

Both of us were just catching up with each other since it's been more than a year ever since we've met face to face. Honestly, we didn't even notice how long we've been talking, but for sure it was long because Joshua came back from taking a rest earlier

"Have you two eaten yet ?" he asked

"Oh-- We haven't yet" I replied

"Gosh, I told you two to eat first right ??" said Joshua as he shook his head

"We were talking too much I guess" I giggled

"Now now, let's go and eat" said Joshua

The three of us headed to the dining room. The three of us started on eating while striking a few conversations here and there. Byeol eonnie left after she helped me with the dishes and even wished me goodluck on telling Joshua about the good news.

My heart was pounding. I was really nervous about telling him I do not know why. I really don't want to have a high hope with this child since I've had 2 miscarriages before and I'm just... Afraid it'll happen again.

We're now in our room, getting ready to sleep. I took a deep breath and decided to go for it

"Joshua" I called out to him

"Yes ?" he turned to me as he joined me on the bed

"I have something to tell you" I said to him

"Hm ? What is it my dear ?" he asked as he sat down facing me, looking at me fondly

"I'm pregnant" I said to him

There was a few seconds of silence. He was staring at me with a surprised face, not knowing what to react with.

"A-are you for real ?" he asked

"Yeah, I checked it earlier with a test and I actually did went to the clinic to check it out earlier in the evening" I replied

He then pulled me into his embrace gently as he dug his face into my shoulder, silently sobbing.

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." he apologized and I was confused on why he did so

Did he maybe had another affair ? I mean, for him to apologize....

"Why are you apologizing...?" I asked

He looked at me as he caresses my cheek

"I'm so sorry that because of me we couldn't have had it sooner. I'm sorry that I was the reason behind all of your sufferings all of these year... I seriously don't deserve any of this my love..." said Joshua as he was a crying mess. Apologizing over and over.

I was stunned.

I've forgiven him long ago, yet... Here he is, apologizing about it again...

"My honey, I've forgiven you don't I ? There's no need to apologize about it again. You've atoned all of your sins towards me and that's all that matters my honey. Please stop blaming yourself" I said to him, wiping his tears in the process with a tissue.

"I promise you, I'll take care of you in any way I could. I'll be there for you whenever you need me and would always look after you. I vow to never hurt you my love" said Joshua as his words were filled with determination.

Of course, I was touched by his actions. He really had changed and I felt relieved and happy.

"Now now, stop crying. You have work tomorrow" I chuckled as I kissed his cheek

He laughed softly as he then kisses me gently and I just went with the flow. He broke the kiss and looks at me fondly

"I love you" he said lovingly

"I love you too" I responded followed by a small giggle
