"So she wasn't any trouble? Didn't break any rules? Did she stay away from Leigh-Anne?" Janice was quizzing Sairah.

Sairah and Leigh were walking to the front door. They had said their goodbyes and were leaving. Jesy was in her room. She had been escorted there once it was time for Leigh-Anne to leave.

"She was a lot better today, especially after she spoke to Dr Jung. So quiet and reflective, you know?" Sairah said pleasantly. She was happy that no major upsets had taken place today.

"Yes . . . I hope that that means she's easing up . . ." Janice made a mental note to check on Jesy before dinner. She smiled at Leigh-Anne. "Today wasn't so bad was it?"

"It was okay." Leigh answered. She still had Perrie's invitation to the mall on her mind. She would talk to Sairah about it. Perrie seemed very eager to spend time with her. Her reasoning sounded nice so Leigh hoped that she was being genuine. As long as she's trying to change.

"Love to see it." Janice said.

"Oh wait." Sairah seemed to remember something. "Uh Leigh had a little accident in the guest room but don't worry. I washed the sheets, dried 'em, didn't leave a stain so we're good. The mattress is okay as well so no worries right? We put fresh sheets on it. Just to let you know." She rubbed Leigh's back proudly.

Janice was startled. "Oh my goodness. Did-did you have a nightmare while napping or something Leigh-Anne? Don't worry, no need to be ashamed. Accidents happ-"

Leigh was shaking her head strongly. "No, no, no that's not what happened at all!" Why did Sairah phrase it like that?

"Oh so . . . what was it? You really don't have to be ashamed. Little Joey started having accidents after his father died." Janice sighed. "Again, if you need anyth-"

Leigh continued shaking her head. "Ms. White it's not- Sairah." She whined to her sister.

Sairah laughed. "Leigh, relax." She faced the mother. "She got her period for the first time so she made a little mess. It happens right?"

"Ohhhh." The mother laughed with the sister.

Leigh covered her face in embarrassment.

"Ah so she got her period. Aww. Congrats Leigh-Anne. How are you feeling about that?" The mother wore a warm smile.

Leigh-Anne shrugged.

"Hmm fifteen seems a bit late- not that I'm judging." Janice assured.

"Yeah, I guess she's a late bloomer. Got mine at twelve." Sairah shrugged.

"Thirteen for me." The mother observed the girl. "Been feeling stressed?"

Leigh thought of that awful party. "Not really."

"Maybe it's the vitamins kicking in." Sairah winked.

Leigh rolled her eyes.

"Riiight. Perhaps." Janice laughed with Sairah. "Speaking of vitamins. Dr Jones said he'll be over tomorrow to check on you Leigh. You can tell him about that once he comes in."

"Okay. Thank you." Leigh had nearly forgotten that the doctor had said he would come see her in two weeks.

"I'm sure he'd be happy to know that you've been keeping nutritious." Sairah seemed to be very proud of how she was doing with Leigh-Anne so far.

Leigh sighed. "Right."

"Okay well see you girls later alright?" Janice waved at them and then shut the door.

She started walking up to her daughter's room to check on her.

The mother knocked on the door.

"Come in." Jesy sounded dry and empty.
