It was around mid-December and Perrie, her mum, Leigh-Anne, Sairah and Marcy were in Paris for Leigh's first modelling gig.

"I just don't understand how it works like, something so big and heavy carrying a bunch of people and not falling to the ground? I get that there's probably a whole lot of Physics behind it but what are the specifics?" Sairah was sitting with legs crossed on the bed of her hotel room the night before her sister's shoot. They had arrived here around afternoon on Marcy's private jet. It had been the first time that she and Leigh had travelled in anything like that so they had been pretty amazed by the entire experience. That and scared. Sairah had screamed during takeoff while Leigh had squealed. Marcy had asked them a few questions about their first takeoff experience while they were sailing smoothly through the air. She had recorded their answers and had posted it on her Instagram once they had landed and with the girl's permission.

"You've been speaking about this since we got off the jet, Sairah." Leigh-Anne sat across her in her own bed, feeling excited about her big shooting day tomorrow. It was expected to take two days in all but Marcy had said that she wanted to surprise them the day after once she was through. She wondered what the surprise was. Maybe they would be going sight-seeing? We're in Paris. She had never dreamed of travelling a day in her life. Being in a city that many dreamed of visiting felt . . . crazy! She kind of wanted to jump and dance around but still was not sure of how she should be reacting to all of this. She had taken a private jet to Paris today and would be modelling with some of the best teen models in the field later. I'm not even professional. At least Perrie would be there. Perrie had told her all what to expect and had said the words 'stick by me no matter what alright? I'll protect you my little num-nums. Nununununu'. Leigh scratched her head as she remembered Perrie's strange words. The girl had been cupping her face and rubbing her nose against hers while saying this. Jade had been in the room, staring in confusion by Perrie's behaviour. Leigh-Anne had smiled after Perrie had done that and had said that Jade was giving them that look because she was jealous so Perrie had done it to Jade too.

Her blonde friend had travelled to Paris a few days before she had. The only reason Leigh had not come earlier was because Sairah had been completing her exams. Her sister's exams were supposed to be over by the end of this week but Sairah had started before everyone else at her school due to Leigh's trip. She could have just stayed home while Leigh was off but she had wanted to be there for this. For 'protection'. Marcy had told her that she wanted her to come along too since they should all experience their first trip together.

Leigh was not sure if Perrie had even done any exams. She had not answered when Leigh had asked. Perrie's mum wouldn't let her just skip out on important things like end of semester exams would she? Her mum seems more concerned with other things.

They had driven to this 'five star hotel' in a taxi and Marcy had pointed out billboards featuring models who wore some of Perrie's mother's creations. Leigh had asked if what she and the other models would be wearing could end up blown up for everyone to see but Marcy had only shrugged saying 'maybe'. Leigh supposed that they only chose the best shots to feature that way. Paris is beautiful so far. There were plenty of lights and people. The way that it was designed was much different from London and everyone spoke French. They also speak English quite well. Which she was surprised by. Marcy somehow knew French so had told their taxi driver that they could communicate in that language. Leigh and Sairah had marvelled at how their mum had made small talk with the man on their way here. She had said that her parents had been strict about learning languages and other things while growing up so that was why she knew the language. Leigh-Anne had remembered what Perrie's mum had been saying about 'finishing school' so had asked Marcy if she had been to one by her parents' instructions. That had made Marcy cry so Leigh assumed that she had been forced to go and did not enjoy it.
