Airi

'Cause you are the piece of me

I wish I didn't need

Chasing relentlessly

Still fight and I don't know why

I sang with the crowd of people on top of my lungs to express my brokenness

If our love is tragedy why are you my remedy

If our love insanity why are you my clarity

Everyone in the dance floor jumped to the beat of the music. I glanced at the dj. He was busy spinning with his left hand and drinking from the bottle of beer on his left hand kaya hindi ko masyadong makita mukha niya. Mukha siyang gwapo sa malayo though.

I drank from the beer bottle I was holding and danced with the music. I am fucking broken hearted. I wanna get drunk. I wanna get high. Like fuck. Putanginang lalakeng daks pero manloloko.

"We are going to order tequila Riri." Sabi ng kasama ko na nag-bar.

"Sure. Let's get drunk!" I slurred.

Tumawa siya. "Paulo is such an ass to screw you up!"

"He is one hell of a heartbreaker too!" "I need to smoke."

"Do you have a lighter?"

I heard him scoff. "Sorry. Nalaglag siguro sa loob. Hindi ko kasi mahanap." He answered.

"Tangina Sandro Marcos."

He laughed. "Are you okay miss?"

"I don't mind." He replied, shrugging his shoulders.

I looked at him from head to toe after. "Ikaw yung dj kanina no."

"Yeah." Sagot niya.

"Cool."

"Saan ka sa Pilipinas?" He asked, looking at me. Ang intimidating ng eyes niya sobra. Pag magtitigan siguro kami ako unang iiwas.

"Baguio." I muttered.

"Cool. Where in Baguio? We might be neighbours."

I laughed. "Actually ako yung nasa tapat ng resthouse niyo."

"The Juarez family?"

"Yes." I answered, nodding.

"Wow. Pero I don't see you often whenever we go there for Christmas or when I take my friends there."

"Hindi ako umuuwi ng vacation at school break. I'd rather work my ass off sa part-time jobs than spend my money on a plane ticket."

He laughed. "Well you have a point but don't you miss your family?"

"Haven't you heard? Separated na parents ko so no one is living in the house next to yours na. Though it was named under me, still, I don't want to go in an empty house." I told him.
