AIRI

I had a dream. That I was only wearing my pajamas in that crowd and saw Sandro in his long sleeve polo. He was smiling to everyone around him and I was shy to be in that crowd of people because I was just wearing pajamas. But somehow I had the courage to go up to him and ask for a photo, asking if we could use his phone because I did not bring mine.

He obliged and took the photo with me. A little later, I saw my cousin and asked her if she can take my photo with Sandro. So we went to see Sandro again and ask for another photo. There was a frown on his face as if he was irritated but then he obliged. The difference was niyakap niya ako and did what he always did with his mom. Yung paghawak sa pisngi habang picture taking kind of thing. He was teasing me. I laughed and amidst that laugh and crowd of people, I saw a glimpse of Vinny. Hinabol ko si Vinny pero sa huli ay tinarayan ako. I chased him hanggang sa bahay nila but it was Sandro who I saw instead.

Sandro was smiling in that dream and asked me if we can take another photo.

I woke up after he asked that. I woke myself up. I didn't know why. Siguro dahil si Vinny ang hinahanap ko pero si Sandro ang sumusulpot.

"Hey." Sandro whispered beside me.

I turned to look at him. He was looking at my side.

"What?" I asked.

"You looked flustered for a moment."

"Ah. It's nothing. I just had a dream."

His brows raised. "What dream?"

I rolled my eyes. "You, unfortunately."

I saw a smile crept on his face. "What was it about?" He asked.

And so I told him.

"That was a good dream Airi." He said after I told him.

I rolled my eyes. "Pati ba naman sa panaginip ko ikaw ang bida."

"Because I literally am the one for you, Cinnamon. Don't force yourself to believe Vinny is for because he is not. Your dream is giving you a sign." He replied confidently.

Napaka-confident porke tinarayan ako ni Vinny sa panaginip ko.

I just made a face and stood up.

"Where are you going?" He asked.

I looked at him, fixing my hair into a bun. "Of course magpapa-check ng attendance sa parents mo. I don't want them to think na tamad ako at natutulog lang buong araw." I told him.

We were in the Philippines. We came home yesterday and went straight to their house in Forbes. I saw Simon but I did not see Vinny.

"No need. They're not around. Pops had to tend to something and mom went with him. We have the house to ourselves until Simon comes home from BGC." Sandro informed me.

"Bakit? Ano ginawa ni Simon?" I asked, going back on the bed to sit down beside him. I leaned my back on the headboard as I stretched my foot.

He took my hands and kissed them. "He went to buy presents."

Ngumuso ako. Wala akong pagti-tripan. "Can we join him?" I asked.

"Absolutely not." He replied.

I made a face. "Bakit? May naisip ka ba na gagawin natin?"

I can't imagine the day na walang ginagawa or maybe it's just me. Nasanay lang na mag-aral at magtrabaho throughout the week, spending the day off cleaning and doing the laundry then going out for a bit of coffee and buy groceries.

"We can cuddle." He suggested.

"Cuddle na naman."

"What? I love cuddles."

"And I love sex." I spat at him.

He rolled his eyes and kissed me as he cupped my face. Ah. The way to shut my unfiltered mouth was through a kiss rule. Great. Just great Airi. Sandro kissed me senselessly. Buti na lang we were sitting down because my legs were feeling like jelly again and my heart beat was thumping erratically. My fingertips landed on his shirt, gripping the sides as I tried to catch my breath from the senseless and passionate kiss he was giving me.

Sandro is a really good kisser and I would be lying to myself if I said he wasn't. The caterpillars and the nilalangs in my body that dote him might wage war with me if I deny that thing about him.

SANDRO

I kissed the hands of my favourite human as we drove going to Baguio. My parents will follow because pops has an appointment today. Simon is with us and is frowning by himself in the passenger's seat. Probably because he is single and doesn't have someone to hold hands with.

I know it's bad but I am thankful that Vinny cannot make it this year's Christmas. I'm sorry Vincent.

"Hala, ayan na. Naamoy ko na yung simoy ng hangin!" Airi giggled beside me as she opened the window of the van. We turned off the air conditioner as we reached Kennon road. She stick out her tongue as if tasting the Baguio air. We can already view the city from where we were,

"Did you miss it?" I asked, looking at her.

She turned to me with a smile on her face. "The town? Yes I do. I grew up here after all." She replied.

I held her close beside me as I watch her face glowed in excitement as we are nearing the city. I called my mom five nights ago, telling her I am bringing Airi home and confessed to her we were just friends the first time I took her home. She asked me why I said she was my girlfriend and I told her about her so called crush feelings for Vinny. She laughed at me.

'So, is she your girlfriend now, Sandro?' She asked through the telephone.

'Yes. She is.' I told my mom.

'So you love her then?'

My gaze turned to Airi who was busy cooking in our kitchen. She looked at me and asked me what's wrong.

'I am getting there mom.' I replied as I looked at my favourite human.

Our house was situated in a place away from the city. It's a private area with only a few houses around. Airi's house as she told me was across ours.

I saw her looking at their house as we got down the van.

"Do you want to go inside?" I asked her.

"Maybe later," She muttered and held my hands. "Let's go?"

I nodded and led her to the house. The house was still homey as it was. We've been coming here ever since when I was a kid every Christmas.

"It's warm and smells like home." Airi spoke beside me.

I smiled. "Welcome home Airi." I told her as I kissed the side of her forehead.

"Home," She muttered and looked at me with a smile on her face. "I like the sound of it Sandwo."

I smiled back. I would always make her feel she has a home.

"Can I pass?" Simon spoke behind us sarcastically.

Airi laughed. "Need mo ng jowa."

Simon rolled his eyes. "And I need you both to step aside so we can pass."

"Nireregla ata kapatid mo." Airi told me as we stepped aside.

"Heard that." Simon grumbled.

Airi giggled and faced me. "Thank you Sandwo." She chirped and kissed me briefly on the lips.

I saw Simon in my peripheral vision, making a face and looking bitter.
