SANDRO

"What do you think of bunso dating your ex?" Simon asked me.

We were at home in Forbes and he was accompanying me in preparation for my campaign even though he didn't have to. I think he was just here to annoy me and slap to my face that Airi has moved on.

"Stop it Simon."

"Does it hurt?"

I looked at him. "Does my pain amuse you?"

He laughed. "Gago ka eh."

"I know. You told me that a million times." I remember him calling me, texting me and everything when I stopped talking to Airi. I wouldn't blame him since he became friends with Airi too.

"Whatever did happen to you. Bigla ka na daw hindi nagparamdam." He said.

"Would you believe me if I told you I didn't know why?" I asked him.

"That happens and probably much better than saying that you cheated. I'd beat the hell out of you."

I laughed. "I did not cheat Simon. It was just everything was too much for me when I started working here. I got burned out if that is considered as an excuse to what I felt."

"But that doesn't mean you should ignore her." He noted.

"I know. It's just that I suddenly didn't want any relationships that gave me more responsibility."

Simon sighed. "Hindi ko alam sayo. Gago ka talaga. Kung ayaw mo na dapat sinabi mo sa kanya."

"Sorry Simon and thank you for being with her during the times I wasn't"

"It was one hell of a year but she managed."

"She's a strong woman."

He made a face. "Oo but it doesn't mean what you did was valid. You're gonna have to give your explanation to her Sandro or she'll end up blaming herself over and over again."

"It's a shitty explanation. I don't even know how to face her." I admitted.

"I won't help you with that," He snickered and continued scrolling his phone. "Look Sands, they are campaigning for you already." He showed me the picture where Matthew posted in his Instagram stories.

Airi and Vinny were wearing some couple t-shirts. We used to have couple shirts too. Their name even rhyme.

"That's nice." Were the only words I could say.

My brother laughed. "You look and sound bitter."

"Shut it Simon. I'm having regrets. Happy?"

"Too late. She's with Vinny. Her first choice."

I know.

"You're here." Matthew spoke as soon as he saw me in his office.

"Hey." I greeted.

"Vinny just left for Manila two days ago. Have you seen him?" He asked.

I shook my head. I was avoiding Vinny because I didn't want to run to Airi. I have assumed that where Vinny is, Airi is there.

"No. I don't have the balls to face my ex." I told him.

He laughed. "Should we talk it over a drink?"

I nodded. I needed that.

Matthew and I headed to their house for a drink as planned. He was the only one there since his two siblings were married and moved out the house.
