51. 'Cause

AIRI

We woke up at around five in the morning the next day to prepare early and eat breakfast before heading in the town we were visiting. We were visiting two towns today. I have already prepared an extra shirt for Vinny and I then the hat we bought yesterday at the mall.

Vinny was talking to his team when we were heading down the breakfast buffet area so I just told him to sit down while I get some food for the both of us. Inisang plato ko na din yung pagkain namin. It will be a long day so I got us some rice then nagpaluto na din ako ng sunny side ups sa egg station. I also got some sausage, spam and some fruits and greens to balance the breakfast. Also, to make sure na hindi kami magutom agad mamaya.

He was still talking to his team so I fed him na lang. I was a bit shy because the staffs were around but Vinny is workaholic. Baka mamaya he would go on with the day not eating anything at all.

I stopped feeding him when a flash hit us. I looked at the other table.

It was the assistant taking a picture.

"Ay. Sorry po. Sweet po kasi." She said.

I laughed. "It's okay."

Vinny looked at me and grinned. "Have you fallen?"

I made a face. "Vinny nga."

"What? I was just asking."

"Nagtatanong ka sa harap ng maraming tao. Alam mo naman na medyo mahiyain ako kahit hindi halata." I told him.

He laughed and messed with my hair. "You forgot to serve me coffee."

"Kapal ng mukha mo."

"Cute mo."

I felt like blushing.

Vinny is not so hard to please. He appreciates even the smallest things you do or give him. Like Simon said, he is the sweetest. He is. He makes sure I am comfortable and tends to my needs.

"I'll be singing later pala." He winked. He was done with the call and has put down his phone on the table.

My eyes widened.

"Kumakanta ka?"

He nodded. "Uhuh."

"Seryoso?"

"Yes Airi. I sing. I will also play the ukulele later."

"Hala totoo?"

Vincent chuckled, amused. "You find it hard to believe?"

Tumango ako. "Ano ikakanta mo?" I asked.

He grinned. "It's a surprise."

"Para sa akin ba?"

"Para kay Simon."

I rolled my eyes. "Edi para kay Simon."

He pinched my cheeks. "Real cute Airi."

"So eto na nga po ang pinaka-aantay ng mga kabataan. Kasama po namin ngayon ang anak ng tumatakbong pangulo, Vincent Marcos!" The host called him up on the stage. I clapped with the audience. Vinny gave me his phone and wallet, pinched my cheeks then went up the stage.

I looked at the crowd of kids looking at me. I looked away. I think I just made some enemies myself.

Vinny was all smiles when he got to the stage. "Magandang umaga po sa ating lahat. Ako po si Vincent Marcos ang bunsong anak ni BBM," He giggled. "Sana po ay suportahan natin ang aking ama sa kanyang pagtakbo bilang pangulo ng Pilipinas. Wala na po akong masabi kaya kakantahan ko na lang po kayo."
