AIRI

Vinny and I just stared at our food that breakfast. There were calls and messages from both of our phones especially his. I told him I'm fine but he's too makulit and asks to many questions.

"We got the exposure that we want. What now?" I spoke, breaking the silence.

He breathed. "I actually do not know. I did not expect that it would be this fast. One thing we were constructing our plan and the next thing, boom. We're on every social media."

I laughed.

"Putangina." Sabi ko na lang.

I glanced at my phone. Tumatawag na naman si Simon. He called like 78 times on messenger, 11 on Instagram, 23 on Viber and 7 on the phone number. Ang kulit.

I decided to turn off my phone then Sandro's nickname popped up on my messenger notification bar. For the first time in two years.

"Sandwo with a heart and kiss emoji," Vinny read. "Sweet. Hindi ka nag-clearing operation? He asked.

I turned off my phone then looked at him. "Nope. I'm not that kind of a person." I replied.

Tumango lang siya. His phone rang again.

"It's Sandro," He told me. "He's probably curious. He's been messaging and calling me since RJ dropped the bomb and the photos circulated."

"And you think he still cares?"

He raised a brow.

"Are you asking if he still has feelings at nanghihinayang sa ginawa niya sa'yo?" He sked. I couldn't answer him because it was half the truth. "As a man, I would say he probably does but not much. It's his pride and ego hurting. Yung pakiramdam na biglang nabaliktad yung sitwasyon niyo. So don't get your hopes up, Airi. The goal is to get our revenge. Wala sa usapan ang makikipagbalikan sa ex and the same goes for me. By hook or crook, this revenge plan is gonna happen."

Vinny took me to Ilocos Norte that week. It feels weird to be back tapos yung kasama ko si Vinny pa. But the hell with memories.

"Parents are not here. Sandro is in Manila since he still has his job in the congress. Simon is somewhere out there minding his own business so we got the house to ourselves." Vinny said as we drove to their house.

Sumimangot ako.

"Hindi ako makikipag-sex sa'yo ha."

He made a face. "I'm not like that Airi."

"Naninigurado lang. Malay mo, akitin mo ako tapos ako na walang dilig ng ilang taon bibigay sa pang-aakit mo."

Vinny laughed. Hard.

"Whatever the hell is running around that brain of yours stop it."

"Pero huwag kang pa-fall Vinny ha. Alam mo naman dati kitang crush." I told him.

He just smiled.

We arrived at their home after a few minutes. It was still the same.

"Saan ka natulog the last time you were here?" He asked while we were walking around. The maids offered to help but we declined.

I only had a small travelling bag and my small bag pack.

"In Sandro's room." I told him.

Vinny just sighed.

"I have a huge bed. We'll probably fit."

"Basta 'wag kang yumakap pag umaga ha. Or wag mong ipahalata na tinitigasan ka na sa akin."

Pinaningkitan niya ako ng mata. "You and your imaginations."

"Gago. Lalake ka pa rin. Pagnanasahan mo pa rin ako kahit mukha akong pulubi sa paningin mo."

He just rolled his eyes and took my stuff to his room.

Vinny's room is a mix of blue and white. Like he said, malaki yung kama niya.

"Wala kang extra mattress?" Tanong k okay Vinny nang isara niya yung pintuan.

"Wala."

"Yaman mo wala ka nun?"

"Look, if we are going to have a make believe relationship, we'd share a bed."

"What if nalasing tayo tapos nag-sex tayo?"

"Edi natikman mo ako." Vinny replied, rolling his eyes.

I widened mine. "Ang kapal ng mukha!"

"Mas makapal sayo. Kung ano ano na-imagine mo!" He exclaimed.

Yung kamay niya gigil. Parang gusto ba akong sakalin.

He sighed. "You change your clothes. I made a reservation for us." Sabi niya at lumabas.

VINNY

I took Airi to a local restaurant in our hometown. It's one of the oldest restaurant here serving Ilokano dishes.

"Tangina bagnet!" She exclaimed excitedly.

"You like bagnet?" I asked.

She nodded. "Tapos pinakbet. Oh! Seafood kare-kare!" She giggled and turned to the waiter. "Grilled po ba yung tahong?" She asked.

The waiter nodded, saying yes.

"Order ako Vinny." She said.

"Whatever you like Airi."

She smiled. Genuinely. Like it was the most genuine smile I got from her ever since we were together and she looked really beautiful wearing that smile.

"Order din ako ng okoy. Tapos empanada," She said, still looking at the menu. She turned to me after. "Beer tayo?" She asked.

I smiled. "Sure. I'll have a Cerveza."

Airi chewed her lower lip on my choice of beer. "Sige ako din. Plain rice or fried rice?" She asked.

"Just plain."

"Plain rice po na good for four. Luh baka may gusto ka pala tapos ako lang yung nag-o-order."

I laughed. "I'm good with what you ordered."

"Sure ka? Papadagdag ako ng sisig."

"Go ahead Airi. No one is stopping you."

"Tapos last na talaga ate. Sisig. Ay! Dessert! Uhh. Halo-halo na lang. Paki-serve na lang for later."

The waiter wrote down our order and repeated it to make sure then left after pouring water in our water goblet.

"You look happy."

"I like eating." She chirped.

"I thought you're all about coffee."

She laughed. "Kumakain din naman ako Vinny."

"Do you have any particular favourite?" I asked.

"Wala naman in particular. Basta masarap kinakain ko," I looked at her. "Pagkain usapan naten ha."

"I did not say anything."

"Pero yung mata mo iba sinasabi eh. Tigilan mo ako Vinny. Minamanyak mo utak ko."

I laughed. "Says the one who thinks I'm going to take advantage of her."

"Malay mo lang naman." She said, rolling her eyes.

I laughed then looked at her.

"But what if something really happens Airi? What are you going to? How are you going to handle it?" I asked.

"What if sapakin na lang kita now na?"

"I mean it. Honestly speaking we're compatible. We might end up falling for each other in the middle of our schemes. What do you say?"
