"Seatbelts on, Addison," I heard Sage's voice.
"My car? How about my car?" I asked for the nth time. Hindi pa kami nakakaalis sa bar dahil sumuka pa ako and that makes him made me drink lots of water. And probably, I'll feel my bladder's about to burst before we even go home.
He let out a sigh. "I'll pick it up tomorrow. Happy?"
"Ecstatic," sabi ko saka natawa. God, I'm going crazy. Ecstatic my ass. No.
Nahihilo na ako habang bumabiyahe kami at ako naman itong nag-aabang ng tawag sa isa sa mga kaibigan ko. Where on earth are these people, really?
My phone rang as I managed to open my eyes to see who's calling. It was Malia. I swiped as I put my phone on my ears.
"Where were you? I've been looking for you. Babalikan sana kita! Inuwi ko lang si Lauren dahil pagod na raw siya. Saan ka ba? Oh, maybe you're getting watered! Oh my god!" she panicked.
"Hey, I'm not having sex right now. And please stop talking about it!" I slurred.
"What? Seriously?!" natawa siya.
"You know what, once I saw your face at the hospital, I'll punch you, really!" I hissed. Natatawa pa rin siya ngayon.
"Isn't it funny that I only got a first, second base for tonight, but not a fucking home run? Seriously?! Now go home and stop annoying me because it annoys me already!"
Tinawanan niya lang ako kaya binabaan ko na lang sita ng tawag. This crazy woman. Kung makatawa ang gaga eh mas wala pa rin siyang dilig kaysa sakin. Napalingon ako at napatingin na lang ako kay Sage na diretso ang tingin at seryosong nagmamaneho.

Ngumuso ako saka naglihis ng tingin.
"Addison! Addison, wake up." I heard Sage's cold voice that woke me up. Agad akong napahilot sa ulo ko dahil sobrang sakit talaga. He put his arm around my waist at inalalayan niya ako para makalakad ako ng maayos.
"Tell me what floor and your room number, please?" aniya.
I managed to mumble the answer hanggang sa nakatulog na ako ng tuluyan.
The next day, it was the annoying alarm that woke me up to my senses. I held my head as I felt the pounding pain in it. Now, the images were clear to me that I have a fucking duty today.
Kahit na masakit ang ulo ko, agad akong tumayo at dumiretso sa CR para maligo. I quickly prepped myself and wore the clothes I snatched from the closet. Sakto ay nakahanda doon ang gamot sa medicine plate. I searched for a juice and drank it instead, along with the juice.
Agad akong umalis at nagtungo sa ospital. Yes, I drank the medicine without eating and I know that I wouldn't like the outcome of this one. I stopped at a drive thru and bought a chicken sandwich.
Nakarating ako sa ospital habang binati ako ng mga nakakasalubong kong mga nurses. I headed straight to the locker room to left my things before going to the Neurosurgery nurses' station to check the patients records. I'm sure that I'm not late since I've got 5 minutes to spare.
"Good morning, Doc." rinig kong bati ng nurse kaya napalingon ako nang makita si Doc Hernandez at kasama niya si Sage.
"Good morning, Doc," bati ko.
"Who's coming on rounds with me?" bungad na tanong ni Doc at saktong may dalawang 2nd year residents doon na nagtaas ng kamay.
Sumunod kami kay Doc saka siya nagpatuloy sa rounds. The junior residents are taking notes dahil sila ang inutusan ni Doc. I frowned, knowing that I usually taking orders, but who am I to complain?
