It was already Christmas Eve and after that getaway with Sage, the next morning umuwi rin siya since I didn't woke up having him next to me. Apart from that, he also left a note. Maybe he changed his mind about spending the Christmas Eve with his family.
As usual, my mornings went from jogging and chilling most of the time. Kahit si Cassidy ay busy lang mag Netflix. Pati na rin si Bentley na nangangabayo lang sa rancho. Si Lola at Tita Cecille lang talaga ang abala sa paghahanda.
"Bentley, Cassidy, kain na!" Tita Cecille called them as her voice resonates in every place of the house.
Narinig ko ang pagsara ng pinto saka ang tunog nga kanilang mga tsinelas habang binabagtas ang hagdan pababa.
"Oh, Addie, nasaan si Sage?" tanong ni Tita.
"Umuwi rin po," sagot ko. "Doon ata siya magpapasko sa Maynila."
Tumango siya.
We all settled as we're about to embark on a food marathon. It was filled with laughters as I became the person on hot seat. After what happened two days ago and Sage's surprise visit, the family liked him since he's a good person, which is true. But to tease me, it was insane. Tapos dagdagan pa ng panunulsol nitong si Bentley.
It was a busy afternoon for everyone. Everyone was hands on at para naman may magawa ako, tinulungan ko si Tita na mag bake. I watched her mix the dry and wet ingredients as she told me instructions on how to do it properly. And I can say that I learned a lot.
"Oh di'ba madali lang?" Tita smiled at me.
On the greased cupcake tray with linens, I poured in the mixture and placed it in oven afterwards.
Gumawa rin kami ni Tita ng cookies na ipamimigay namin. After all, we're not just spending the Christmas, we're also with the trustworthy workers who worked for the family. Yung iba sa kanila, hindi nakauwi ng probinsya. Yung iba naman ay dito nakatira, malapit sa bukid. After all, they're treated as family.
Tita was busy putting the frosting in between cakes and decorates them afterwards. She made a red velvet cake for tonight. She even made a strawberry crumble pie, since they went to Baguio to buy some strawberries. At ngayon, ilang banyera pa ang nandito.
Tita made a lot and probably it will reach up 'til New Year. Yung iba, ibinibigay na lang din namin.
Medyo gumabi na at halos patapos na ang lahat sa pagluluto. Well, mayroon pang sinasaing at niluluto pa sa oven yung chicken.
I went upstairs to prepare since everyone's also preparing. I stayed in the bathroom and enjoyed a good bubble bath. After I took a bath, I wore my blue criss cross tie back floral embroidery mesh cami dress and a pair of heels. I also wore a set of diamond jewelry to end up the look. Hindi ako nag effort sa buhok so I just curled it and used my hair claw to clip it altogether. Same goes with makeup. I only applied a powder, lip tint and just enhanced my eyebrows. Kahit na wala akong makeup ay mukha pa rin naman akong tao.
I went outside my room, together with my phone. I took a video of the house that looks good in blue. Yes, the Christmas motif for this year is blue and everyone will be also wearing blue.
"Akin na iyan at nang maayos ko," rinig kong sabi ni Lola kaya napalingon ako. Everyone's busy with arranging the table. Yung mga décor at Chinaware na ilalabas lang pag may handaan ang gamit ngayon. Kahit na kaunti kami ay maayos pa rin ang mesa.
Natapos silang mag ayos at nandoon na sila Tita at Lola sa sala.
"Tara na, picture taking na!" Bentley clapped as he placed the DSLR on the tripod. "Doon tayo sa Christmas tree. Family picture dali!"
