"Happy birthday Sage!" everyone greeted as Sage entered the mansion with our daughter. We all sang the famous birthday song as Sage's face was still on shock. I don't know if he's shocked because of this surprise or about Chairman.
"Blow your candle na, Sir," sabi nung isang maid sa gilid.
He walked towards me, where I'm holding the heavy two-tiered cake. I watched him blow the candle as everyone clapped.
"Happy birthday," bati ko sa kanya.
"Thank you, baby," he whispered before kissing the side of my head as everyone gushed.
"Mama!" Diana called as she stretches her arm, wanting to come to me. Kinuha ko siya kay Sage habang kinuha naman ni Sage yung cake.
"Picture muna kayo, Sir Sage at Ma'am," sabi nung isang driver ata nila. Sage gave his phone to him then we took a picture. Nagpicture kami habang hawak ko si Diana then Sage held his cake. Pagtapos ay nagpicture naman kami nung wala yung cake.
A smile was across my face when Diana kissed my cheek. But shock was written across my face when Sage kissed my right cheek. Natawa ako dahil wala sa kanila ang umalis ang labi sa pisngi ko.
"Cute niyo dito, Ma'am," natatawang sabi nung driver sabay pakita nung picture namin, kung saan natawa ako dahil ayaw pa nilang lubayan ang pisngi ko.
"Mama, I want cake," I heard Diana said.
"I cooked Arancini, do you want some?" I asked. "How's school, mein schatz?"
"It's fun, Mama," she said.
Nag aya na si Chairman na kumain kaya naman pumwesto na kami doon sa dining area. I sat next to Andi then Sage sat next to me.
"You cooked?" I heard him asked on my side.
"Just the Arancini and Tartiflette," sabi ko. "Also the cake."
"Thank you," he said.
"Wala akong maisip na regalo eh," sabi ko. "And it's nothing."
"This is enough, Addie. You and Diana alone are enough for me," aniya.
Napaiwas ako ng tingin.
"Bakit naman ako," mahinang sabi ko.
"Mama, food," I heard Diana said then he didn't answer. "Arancini!"
Naglagay ako ng pagkain sa plato niya. She wanted Arancini and the chicken. I was about to put some when Sage offered me some beef.
"Want some?" he asked.
I nodded. "Thanks."
Naglagay na rin siya ng para sa kanya. I put some Tartiflette and he got some for himself. Hindi ko alam kung magugustuhan niya.
"Anong lasa?" I asked.
He nodded. "It tastes good."
I nodded. Nakahinga ako ng maluwag doon.
"Try the Arancini. That's Diana's favorite," I told him.
"What's that in the casserole?" Chairman asked.
"Uh, that's Tartiflette. It's a French food made in potatoes," sabi ko. "The orange balls one is Arancini."
"Mama, Arancini," Andi said as I grabbed some for her.
"She's eating a lot," sabi ni Chairman habang nakatingin kay Andi. Andi's just sitting close to Chairman. She's just across him at the left.
"This one's good, Addison," natatangong sabi ni Chairman.
