"Anything else?" he asked casually as I looked at the paper bag, filled with toys. Hindi ko alam pero natutuwa ako dahil siya ang nagbayad. Aba dapat lang dahil anak niya 'yon!
Para akong sisikmurahin sa kaba. Sage just caught me buying stuff for his daughter.
Of course, he doesn't know. Ang alam niya ay baka may pagbibigyan lang ako nitong mga laruan. Probably sa isang inaanak? Or maybe pamangkin.
I was still hesitating but I ended up getting the Rapunzel and Princess Jasmine costume.
"Ayan lang," sambit ko saka siya tumango.
My phone rang and I received a call from Leon.
"Hello?" I asked.
"I heard that you'll be the proxy for Tito Sixto's party," aniya. "Nasaan ka?"
"Mall, bakit?"
"A-attend ka?" he asked.
"Oo, malamang, proxy nga eh," sagot ko. "Hindi ko naman alam na ngayon yung birthday. Nandito pa ako, bumili ako ng damit."
"Yung regalo, pinadala na sa mansyon sa Nueva."
"Okay na 'yon. Sige na, I'll hang up."
I pu my phone inside my pocket. Pag lingon ko, I saw Sage carrying the paper bag with costumes that he bought for his daughter.
"Salamat," mahinang sabi ko.
"May pupuntahan ka pa?" tanong niya.
"Magpapapalit ng pera," sabi ko. "Maling credit card ang nadala ko."
Tumango siya.
Akala ko ay aalis na siya pagtapos 'non. I could feel him following me. Baka siguro pauwi pa lang.
I stood in front of the money changer and pulled out some Swiss Francs para mapalitan. Pagtapos magpapalit, dumiretso ako sa JCo to buy some donuts for Andi. Bumili rin ako ng iced coffee para sa sarili ko at dumiretso na rin sa parking lot saka nagtungo sa kotse ko.
"Uh, your... toys," Sage said, seriously, but I felt the urge to laugh. I just only stopped myself. I also found it ridiculous as well.
"Uh, salamat," I told him. "Just send me your bank account details so I can pay you. Pasensya na sa abala. I'll go ahead since I'm also in a rush. Ingat ka."
Sumakay ako sa kotse ko dala yung mga paper bag saka siniksik sa likod. I speeded my way back to the house and I saw that it was too messy. What's up, Diana?
Diana came out, giggling, with a friend.
"Mama!" she ran towards me as I picked her up. I peppered kisses on her cheek before putting her down. "I've got something for you..."
Nilabas ko yung stationary set and her face lits up.
"Jetzt habe ich drei davon gekauft. Bitte wählen Sie eine aus und wir geben Lili und Perrie die beiden." sabi ko.
She was overwhelmed, obviously. But she has to make a wise decision of choosing the one she likes.
"Diese da!" she pointed at the unicorns.
"Du magst keinen Rapunzel?" I asked while caressing her hair.
"Nein," she answers. "Ich liebe Rapunzel. Aber ich lasse Freunde es haben. Ich habe viel Rapunzel, Mama."
My heart warmed. How could Diana think this way?
"That's my girl," sabi ko sabay halik sa pisngi niya. "Well, it's true that you've got Rapunzel. Open that bag."
