Chapter 32

Everyone in the hospital was talking about me after the scandal was leaked. I could feel everyone's judging eyes at me. Kahit saan ko ata sila makita ay wala akong ibang nakikita kundi ang pandidiri at pagkadismaya. Okay, now I'm a slut in their eyes.

The door was fucking locked so who the fuck would know the password?

Hindi naman nagsasabi si Sage. Kahit na sa akin ay hindi niya sinabi ang password.

"Grabe si Doc," I heard someone said. "Bakit siya ganun? Akala ko pa naman mabait siya..."

"Bakit 'di mo sisihin yung nag video, teh? It's their private time. Alam kong mali dahil workplace 'to, pero ni minsan, I didn't heard anything about Dr. Soriano and Dra. Bermudez some issues about negligence to their patients, so let them be. Mag jowa naman sila! Pero mali rin ang kumuha ng video dahil kahit bukas man o hindi yung pinto, wala siyang karapatan kumuha at i-upload ang video!" I heard the other one said. "Ikagaganda niya ba ang pag upload ng scandal? Jusko, babae ka pa man din!"

I was surprised that someone actually sided me. I was also amazed on how she defended me in front of that woman.

God, I feel disgusting.

I was suspended and now I'm not allowed to see Sage. I haven't seen him after what happened. The damage was too much. Sage's Johns Hopkins will be affected and my career as a doctor as well.

I'm now in the middle inside of the conference room. Four of the board members and the head of the Neurosurgery are here to interrogate me. I feel like I was a lamb to a slaughter. And of course, Dra. Suarez was there.

This is the first day of the interrogation. Kapag hindi agad naresolba ay mas lalong tatagal ito hangga't hindi nalulutas ang problema.

"So, Dra. Bermudez, what happened inside Dr. Villegas' office?" tanong sa akin ng isa sa mga board members.

"You act as if you didn't saw the video," barumbado kong sabi. "I was giving him a head." diretso kong sabi.

Walang reaksyon sa mukha ko pero lahat sila gulat sa sinabi ko. I'm indeed honest at totoong iyon naman talaga ang ginagawa namin 'non.

"So, according to the eye witness, you have been hanging out together ever since and the eye witness said that he's refusing to take the eye witness to his surgeries because Dr. Soriano prefer you to be his assistant in surgeries," sabi ni Dra. Suarez. Laki talaga ng galit sa'kin nitong bruhang 'to.

"You mean, your daughter," I bitterly said.

"Are you sleeping with a fellow just to get yourself some surgeries?"

"Mawalang-galang na pero 'di ka kagalang-galang. I did not sleep with my fellow or any of my superiors in general to get myself into surgeries. Lahat ng mga iyon ay pinaghirapan ko, so don't you ever accuse me of hooking up with any of them to get into surgeries. In assisting surgeries or even with me being the head of the surgeries I have done. I did not flirt with any of my seniors since you love concluding like it's your favorite chocolate," galit na sabi ko kay Dra. Suarez. Tangina niya talaga! Parang 'di siya babae!

"How about you ask your daughter what's the reason why Dr. Soriano prefer choosing me or the other residents as his assistant than your daughter?" taas-kilay kong tanong. "You make it all centered to me just to make me look bad."

"It was also said by the resident that there's a multiple MVC's rushed to the ER and they were paging the both of you," sabi pa nung isa. I felt the urge to roll my eyes at his ridiculous accusation. "Why didn't you rushed right away?"

"That was a 15-minute video yet you guys didn't even watched it?" I asked. "Akala ko naman pinanood niyo. Napanood ko nga, actually. We were already done when our beepers rang. I managed to took the other one to surgery and the surgery was successful, and right now he's currently in the NSICU. Dr. Soriano's patient as well. Now tell me if it's negligence because I don't see one."
