Daphne could see the displeased look on her face. He held back from speaking more, and was about to step right away towards the door when Heleen grabbed onto his wrist, scrunching up his long white sleeve, revealing the Menagerie's tattoo, compulsory for every worker "Do not forget where you belong." she sneered, her voice displaying the resentment.
The guards were standing right beside the door, their faces showing nothing.
They were probably used to this, Daphne thought.
"I need to go. I will have to accompany one of the girls."
"Will you now?" Heleen slowly released her grip, Daphne quickly putting his hands in his pocket "I'll be accompanying Lynn, the other girl, Vivienne will be going with Zephyr"
