"We need to pick Inej up, I don't care if Kaz acts like a 5 year old whose parents didn't allow him to play" Nina hufflled upstairs.
"What is that demjin's full name anyway?" Matthias shrugged, taking a sip of the Earl Grey tea.
"Kazoo" Nina giggled
Lynn and Vivi almost choked on their food.
After some inappropriate amount of yelling, Nina came downstairs, dragging onto Inej's arm smiling gleefully.
"Let's get going shall we?, its a brand new day" Nina made an exaggerated gesture with her arms wide open.
The four trotted along the lanes of Ketterdam, much unlike the harbor. The smell of flowery perfumes lingered in the air, the golden sun basking them warm.
They first walked into a boutique, as they browsed through the hangers, Nina pulled out a flamboyant pink gown with ribbons and glitter all over and looked at Vivi excitedly.
"Not quite..my style eh?" Vivi let out a tight lipped smile
"YOU NEED TO TRY IT ON"
Awkwardly holding onto the gown for dear life, Vivienne went inside the dressing room and it took her about a minute to come back.
"You look like the taki chips packet all dolled up" commented Lynn as Vivi frantically shook her head looking at herself.
Nina made Lynn try on a drab brown dress, with a slit at the side
"You look like a teabag" chuckled Vivi.
"Agreed" said Nina, sternly
This boutique was not it. Inej was the one to drag Nina as they walked out.
They walked into another shop, and Vivi couldnt quite stop staring at the lilac dress, hanging at the corner, the net was intricate yet simple and beautiful, she tried it on smiling.
Vivi found a dress she finally seemed to like, a periwinkle one flowy one. Eagerly she picked it up and went to try it on. She came out slouching.
"Are all people who wear gowns 4 foot tall?" she grumbled. The dress was supposed to sit on her ankles and sway across the floor. It was just below her knees
"Nice kneecaps" snorted Lynn as vivi passed her a deadly glare
Next Vivi tried on a pouffy maroon dress, and it ended up being too narrow at her shoulders.
"Sometimes my shoulders feel like a rugby player" she mumbled.
They both tried on dress after dress, some too long, some way too short. Some drab and some too springy. As Nina and Inej continuously shook their heads, they got weary and walked out.
"You both seem to have a very splendid talent for your choice of distasteful clothes" she scolded them
They passed by a burnt, destroyed building. The building being of no use anymore, still had this dreary feel to it. Vivi and Lynn looked at the girls, standing near the building, hoping for a reply
"Its the Menagerie" Inej scoffed dryly. They could see the resentment in her eyes as she said it. Nina protectively put an arm around the girls.
"I hope whoever still works here, works out of choice" Inej whispered and gently leaned onto Nina, eyes closed
"I know you'll make sure they do" Lynn smiled at her.
Vivienne saying "We'll hunt them rotten Heleens down" as Inej smiled
Then they went to the nearby lemonade shop, cooling off before going to another shop or two.
Vivi could see a small shop right opposite of her. She nudged at Lynn "I have a feeling"
They both slowly strolled into the shop, sipping the cooling lemonade.
Vivi spotted a particularly icy blue dress that stood out to her. She pulled it out and gasped. The dress had a sheer ruffle in the front, extending all the way to the sleeves which melded in. The sleeves were netted with a beautiful pattern. It had a tight silk robe at the waist, emphasizing the detailed linen top. The gown was layered with plenty of the ivy twinkle. Vivi pictured herself wearing the dress, waltzing along the floor. She had to try it on. She ran towards the fitting room, quickly showing the dress to Lynn who excitedly held a thumbs up.

Lynn browsed through over and over, and spotted a jet black down, with a corset top. The gown was layered with black mesh extending towards the floor.
What's the harm in trying? She thought as she hurried towards the fitting room.
Vivienne's dress couldn't have fitted her more perfectly. Her pale skin, long black hair and midnight eyes looked beautiful in the icy blue. She brushed her hair away, standing infront of the mirror.
Lynn looked at herself in awe as she stood in the black dress. Her light hazel eyes and her brown hair contrasted perfectly with the jet black. It was unlike anything she'd tried. She felt empowered.

The girls had an eumoirous moment, looking at each other and complimenting gleefully and hugging each other at the same time.
Nina and Inej were still at the lemonade stall as they rushed towards them before being stopped by the shopkeeper as they looked at the floor in embarrassed.
Nina came towards them and exclaimed.
"At last! look at how much my style has influenced you both, gosh look at you two" she grinned as inej adjusted some ruffles on Vivi's blouse.
"On the way to steal your girl" Vivi joked as she twirled around.
"On the way to be Cruella De Ville" Lynn grinned at herself
