The storm didn't seem to cease, instead it was getting even more wrathful. The sea water which was blue and blissfully sparking because of the sun was now dark and calamitous, unknown creatures lurking beneath it.

It was still around day time yet there was not a single sun ray. The only source of light was from the lightning which was striking frequently.

If Vivienne were home, she would've called this the perfect reading weather. She would have laid on her bed comfortably, sipping onto some lemon tea as she picked up her copy of Six of Crows and reread it for the hundredth time. She would let her mind wander and make fake scenarios in her head about what she would do if she could meet her comfort characters. Never thinking that it was actually possible. But here she was.

"Did it just get even darker?" Cain said, sheltering his eyes from the rain with his hands as he squinted his eyes looking at this pitch black sky.

"The sun probably set." Zephyr said from the other side of the boat as he continued to row with all his force.

"What?!" Cain shouted cupping his mouth with his hands, "I CAN'T HEAR YOU. STOP WHISPERING AND SPEAK LOUDER."

"Ow." Vivienne croaked from beside him rubbing her ears, "Well since i am beside you I can hear you and at this pace I may go deaf."

Cain turned to her immediately smiling. Vivienne wondered how on earth could someone smile in a situation like this, but there he was fixing his soaked brown hair, rain water trickling down his face smiling widely as he said, "Sorry love."

Vivienne nodded at him as she fumbled with her hands. She had calmed down a little now. Well she has stopped shaking, so that was some progress, or so she thought.

Even in the rowdy storm, the scrapping sound on the lower side of the boat was prominent to Vivienne. She frowned as she shifted craning her head towards the edge of their boat, puzzled even more when she saw a huge tube like structure beneath the dark water. She narrowed her eyes and then finally she stopped short staring agape. She could hear her heart hammering in her ears, as she made out a long humongous reptile body in the ocean.

She tilted her head following the long body looking for the head for the creature but that seemed impossible as it's body seemed never ending. Tears prickled her eyes as she felt the familiar suffocating sensation gasping for breath and shaking violently.

"Could you try and be helpful and row the boat with me?"

"It doesn't make any impact, Zionite. Vivi agrees with me."

"No, she doesn't."

"Ask her then."

"Vivi- Saints Vivienne?"

Zephyr looked at the fervently shaking figure of Vivienne in the dark as she stared down the water. He let go of his shafts not paying much attention as the fell into the water and pushed through the rain to her side.

"Jesus, I know I said it didn't make much impact but no need to throw it into the ocean dud-"

"Stay still stay still stay still" Daphne whispered as he frantically wiggled to get out of the Kraken's grip

"Does it eat us?" Lynn widened her eyes

"No, it takes you to its nice little house in the bottom of the ocean and serves you jasmine tea." Daphne scowled as he spit out water.

Lynn, got hold of the little blade in her pocket, and tried stabbing the disgustingly scaly body with it.

"It won't work" she gasped "Its like mosquito bite for a creature like this"

"Dying by a Kraken is one of the most torturous ways one can die" Daphne whimpered in horror as he kicked his feet hard, earning no response "It will basically squeeze the living organs out of you" he freed one of his hands from its grip and scratched onto the body with all he could, Lynn cringing with the screeching sound.

"There must be something they're scared of-" Lynn started choking on her breath, she didn't realise how hard the creature had wrapped itself around her.

"Fire" Daphne gasped holding back coughs "Just a little fire will scare them away"

"We might have it on the ship!" Lynn said, suddenly uptight

"We don't have. . ." Daphne felt his eyelids get droopy, his breaths were getting shorter and everything around him was blurry and muffled. It was a lot too familiar to the first time he was brought across sea in the slaver ships. Bringing children caused alot of havoc, and the sellers would often drug them unconsious.

His mind dwelled back seven years ago, the bliss of the warm sun against his skin as he held his sister's hand, trying the tightrope for the very first time. He had fallen roughly onto the cold, brisk ground, causing a huge scar on his torso.

How funny, he thought to himself, a scar was the only memory he had of himself. He let his eyes close.

As Zephyr came to Vivi's side, he felt a cold breeze surrounding her. He frowned finding it eerie but didn't pay much attention as he grabbed Vivi's shoulder. Vivienne felt tears roll down her cheeks, as she slumped against Zephyr, shaking terribly. Cain had stopped talking as he watched Vivi closely, concerned as she kept trying to take deep breaths.

"What's wrong?" Cain asked softly, kneeling down at her level where she was slumped against Zephyr on the bottom of the boat.

"Just breathe." Zephyr whispered from behind her as he hugged her from behind, Vivi felt his rings even from her layered cloths on her stomach, "Breathe."

Vivienne felt her shaking slowly die then, she felt zephyr's soaked hair on her cheeks as she stared at the ocean ghastly, "Down there, it's a. . down there."

Zephyr tried to get up, but Cain shook his heads gesturing at Vivienne who was clutching Zephyr's hands tightly. Zephyr nodded as he watched Cain go to the edge of their small boat looking beneath it.

He flinched visibly as he backed away.

"It's a kraken sea serpent." He said, looking at Zephyr and then an Vivienne who now had her head in her hands but her trembling had ceased. Zephyr stroked her lavender hair as a gesture, and got up and looked down at the creature himself. He frowned not seeing anything, then there it was. It's huge body under their boat, way bigger than the boat. Their boat slowly lifted to air from the water, tilting and creaking terribly on a verge to fall on the spikes of the monster anytime.

Zephyr and Cain looked at each other wide eyed and then at Vivi, who was rolled up in a ball, head on her hands murmuring incoherent to herself shaking horribly again.

"WHAT DO WE DO?" Cain shouted at him as another thunder struck nearby them. Zephyr grabbed the edge of the boat as it tilted more, then looked over the boat facing his palm to the body of the giant reptile. Cain watched him confused, then realized what he was doing, when their boat lifted on air. He was applying force on the body of kraken, trying to make the boat float. Zephyr grimaced as he tilted his hands away, in a smooth motion the boat flew away a few meters from the snake and nearly toppled over. Vivienne groaned as her head banged hard against side of the board, while cain was on his back on the boat getting up.

"You are way more powerful than a normal squaller." Cain said pointing at Zephyr, as he got up.

"Thankyou." Zephyr said nonchalantly, as he kneeled down to Vivi, "You okay?"

Vivienne nodded feebly, as she rubbed her the back of her head, "I'm fine."

"Uh um you two." Cain said loudly, drawing their attention.

"Is that what I think it is?" He was pointing at a direction a few yards away from them, there was a boat tilted upside down and a figure on top of it. Daphne. Vivienne felt her heart pace as she scanned her eyes, and gasped when she saw a huge tail with protruding spikes on it's side wrapped around a tiny human figure, who was stabbing the reptile with daggers aggressively.

"Lynn." Vivienne choked out, as she stood up, "Zephyr quick blow or fly or whatever you do with your powers just get our boat towards them."
