"Quick, follow me" the voice scorned, catching them all off guard.

As the figure approached nearer, it was no longer intimidating.
A lean, tall boy, looking hardly seventeen was standing infront of them. His hair was combed neatly to his sides, and his wide rimmed glasses added to his age.

"We don't even know you" muttered Vivienne, unsure of what to do

"This isn't the time for this. Unless you want them to find you and chop off your arms and feed them to the volcras, follow me" he cut her off abruptly

"You sound really ready for this don't you?" Lynn raised her eyebrows at him.

"Lets just go, we're doing to die either way" Jesper started walking away with the boy as the two girls slowly started following him aswell.

"I'm Daphne by the way" he said, his voice soft but commanding

He led them into a small but cozy second hand bookstore. The bookshelves we half nibbled by insects, and all the books were battered and defected in some way. There were copies of classics mostly.

Lynn and Vivienne were now browsing fondly through the bookshelves. Daphne pulled out a small wooden stool and sat on it, letting out a huff.
Jesper was busy looking at a collage board on the wall.
It had a map of Ketterdam, but there were numerous routes marked with a red X, some were circled, and some were scribbled off.

"X's for the dangerous alley, circled ones are secret passages. Scribbles are the ones i've never been to" Daphne said casually as he was brushing off of some dust from his shoes.
Lynn spotted an old lyre laying at the corner.

"This looks...questionable" she said before she sneezed from all of the dust burning her eyes

"Sorry about that, this was the only place I could find that was safe enough, you can take that copy though if you like" He said calmly as if they weren't getting chased with guns about a minute ago

" What would you mean by 'only place'?" Lynn stared trying to look intimidating

"It quite seems like you have a distaste for me" Daphne raised his brow at her back, unfaltered.

"Okay pop off melodrama, but we need to shut the windows, there are guards outside" Vivi said as she looked through the glass window.

"Its getting late, I should go back before Kaz thinks I'm dead and throws all my clothes away" Jesper was getting restless.

He whirled around the room before making his way towards the exit.

"Thank you off brand Jesper" whispered Vivienne.

"Excuse you?"

"Thank you for saving us from them" said Lynn. There was so much more they both wanted to say, but they couldn't, not yet.

"What we mean is, you're really cool" smiled Vivienne as she flipped through the pages to hide her grin

"Yes, and we would love to meet your crow friends" said Lynn, she felt a ray of hope.
Maybe they won't die this way.

"Well, I'm quite aware of my bashful charm making you girls swoon, but don't you blame me if Kaz whacks you with his cane" chimed Jesper

"Oh we would pay for that to happen" Lynn murmered looking at Vivi who was now grinning.

"Whoever you both are, spies or not, are really strange" said Jesper giving them a side eye.

"I'm Vivienne, and this is Lynn, Lynndint" said Vivi

"Although you both seem to be aware of my presence, Jesper Fahey, ladies" he winked as he pulled out two revolvers from his side, doing a trick as the two girls were laughing.

Daphne watched them intently. He would have to be careful near Lynn, he  noted.
