"Perhaps it would be nice if you don't just barge into people's rooms so suddenly" Matthias glared at Lynn who shrugged back "I have no idea what you're talking about" making him turn red in embaressment.
Kaz inspected the galacitc liquid, his eyes keenly observing as he shook the botte back and forth, a sudden flow of the liqiid with each jerk.
"This isn't just mollitiem" he announced, everyone's attention onto him now.
"What do you mean by that" Vivienne said, intently looking at the bottle "Ruth handed it out straight away from her apothecary."
"Ruth?"
"The lady grisha there. She seems nice."
"To you" Cain pouted "I wish there were more digestive cookies, the world would be a better place with it."
Zephyr narrowed his eyes at Cain "I can rupture your intestines for free."
"A pleasent offer, unfortunately I refuse."
"Lynn you had one job and you did-"
"My job was to search for a random guy who could be all over Fjerda for what we know. Maybe giving me an actual job would help?" Lynn murmured to Kaz who stared at her back.
"Maybe having some common sense and going to his room instead of trying to get lost in Fjerda would help even more?"
"Staring contest between the gremlin and the demjin" Cain cheered gleefully and quitened down as they both turned to look at him intimidatingly.
Kaz looked down at his watch "Inej hasn't come back yet. I'm going to look for her."
"Wait." Daphne stood infront of Kaz, looking at him intensely in the eyes "We leave in about an hour. She will probably reach in no time. She's Inej." Kaz raised his brow at the bronze boy standing by him, blocking the doorway.
"Move." he uttered, as Daphne sighed, Kaz stiffly brushing past him and walking out. Just then, Daphne felt a tremor pass through him.
It was at the most unexpected of times. A pat on the back, a friendly handshake, a slight graze against hands. His body suddenly felt like nothing but an empty, hollow shell of a being. Something he did not have control over, rather it had control over him.
Closing his eyes, he tilted his head against the wall. He needed to destroy them out of compulsion, before it would turn into a choice.
"Daphne?" Inej called out as he looked up to see a smiling Inej and a frowning Kaz before him.
"How did you even-"
"We do not have the time. Let's get in, we need to get started."
The mahogany table, decorated with cuisines of all sorts was now surrounded by them all, as Kaz adjusted his tie "I needn't ask Lynn and Vivienne. Zephyr, Daphne, have you ever gone on a heist." There was a slight twitch in the corners of his mouth as he said those words, like an exciting adventure about to unfold.
"This is going to be one hell of a heist." Jesper chimed, swindling out his guns and kissing them "Haven't held my darlings in so long."
"There are essentially six that need to be fulfilled for one." Kaz spoke aloud, his voice simmering with pride and satisfaction.
"First, we need The Mastermind, which you all don't need to worry about. The one who plans it all, assigns the roles themselves.
Then we have the Grifters. Words count more than actions. They talk their way in and out of everything. For them, the tongue is a weapon to get them out of any danger there is.
The musclemen. They're trained with fighting. Guns, hands, swords, grisha power. Anything. They own physical force and use it to their advantage.
The Infiltrator. The break in artists. Trying to catch hold of them would be trying to hold onto water itself. Their movements, swift yet agile with the tranquility of the calm and the quiet, that is what their balance comprises of.
Then we need a demoliton's expert. The eye of the sky. The observarent one. They need to have the ability, or atleast the potential to break into the cruelest of executions.
The Getaway Driver, lastly. They keep track of everyone that comes and goes in our way. They provide us weapons, warn us of threats. If necessary they flirt their way into knocking a soldier unconcious" Kaz's nose crinkled at the sentence.
"That would be it. Now all that is left is to assign all of you your roles."
